Gobert's ranking on Jazz all time list?

He has to make a verbal statement to prove that? In the context of his drop-off and abject stagnation, I think getting a back tattoo of his avatar says a lot more than anything he could've said.
So had he tattooed Jazz logo on his back it would make you hate him less?

In contrast to his WoW avatar? Of course I would think of him differently.

And I don't hate AK. I hate what he did to this team for so long. I know this level of nuance is impossible for you to process.

It's not worth discussing AK on a Jazz forum, they hate the dude. Of course he had worse seasons after the max, he had pretty major injury issues and we played him out of position for Boozer. And in spite of all that he was still usually the best players on those squads, but most don't give a **** about defense (see those saying Donovan is close to Gobert currently).

I am shocked that a big tough guy like you has such a hard-on for the most toxic weakling in Jazz history.
Wow, most toxic? really? Had AK ever lied to police like Deron or Whaley? Got suspended by a team for misconduct like numerous other Jazz players? Posted his junk pictures online like Trey Burke? Made coach retire because he would not listen to him?

Look, AK had his faults and I am not saying he was perfect - he lacked killer instinct and looked at basketball more like a fun game than a hard work. But to ignore what he did when playing for the Jazz and focus on some petty stuff like tattoos, what he did on his free time, what amount of money he was paid or to complain that he read books before games instead of listening to crap music is just ridiculous.

What did he do? If you are talking money you are ignoring the fact that it was Miller who gave him that contract ( which all other teams would have given anyway) and eventually said no to Marion trade in 2007. Hate Miller for that, no AK.

he did not lol. His record season where he ended up as only player in NBA in top 5 in both blocks and steals was after his max contract.

Ehh, I think '04 was pretty objectively his best season by some margin. That is not to say he wasn't really really good in other seasons.

I looked it up.
2004 was his best season in Pts/game, reb/game and stl/game. 2005 and 2006 was his best blk/per game seasons. 2008 - ast/game, 2010 - 2ptFg%, 2008 3pt%, 2006 FT attempts/game, Highest PER in 2005.
Frankly I think 2005 season was shaping to be his best if not for that stupid injury when Ginobili flopped into his knee causing MCL sprain and forcing him to miss 21 games. He was not the same after that injury and as soon as he regained his form he was undercut by Kwame Brown on a dunk attempt and landed on the floor braking one wrist and severely spraining the other effectively ending his season early. If not for those injuries I think AK would have been multiple All-star and multiple defensive player of the year despite playing out of position, or whatever issues he had with Sloan and Deron. The guy was just so freakishly gifted for basketball.

Again, just a hater opinion making up ****. So Hayward can play his games all night and even openly claim he can beat Lebron and any other NBA player at some PC shooting **** and yet he is busting his *** hero but AK is somehow lazy bum?
The hate AK gets from some of you here is just pathetic.

Please explain to me how AK, after year two or three, improved at his craft more than just a nominal amount...if at all.

I’ll wait.

Where did you guys get this nonsense that he cared more about video games. Like what are you all smoking? Any links or interviews from AK where he said that he giving up on team because he cares more about the games? If you have nothing to show better shut that bull ****.

What was that huge tattoo he got on his back?

Bro there's a Tim Duncan/Richard Jefferson podcast where they talk about AK's World of Warcraft addiction. They said he'd be on there all the time even at 3-4 in the morning when he had a game the next day. I'm not saying that proves anything but there is a lot of signs like this pointing to the dude just not caring about improving or caring about winning. Booking vacation plans that intersect a playoff run anyone?

Gosh, this topic is beaten to death - He DID not book vacation during playoffs. He had scheduled visa appointment few month before playoff dates were even set. To re-schedule visa appointments takes another 2-3 month usually - you guys blowing it out of proportion! He missed ONE practice, not a single game because of that.

Did you read what I posted or even bothered looking at his stats? His best 3pt% season, two best shot blocking seasons, best assist season, best FG% season, best FT attempt seasons all were after he signed max contract. If that is not improving than I do not know what the **** do you want.

lmfao. Six stats from like five different seasons. What an amazing player. The guy was a weak *** scrub. The fact that he ran back to his homeland to feel appreciated speaks volumes about his insecurities as a player and just how sensitive and ****** he really was.

Those are two separate issues and we’ve recently re-litigated that. We’re talking about the WCF run. The visa issue was a couple years later against LA.

What exactly are we talking about here?
People mentioning him planning vacation during a western conference finals run. You’re saying it was travel for a visa issues. They are two separate things. They both happened. Nobody is talking about the visa thing.
