Something I need to get off my chest. This has Been bothering me forever!!

nuts been a burden to me since the line of logic the rest of the world seems to hang on to is creeping into jazzfanz, maybe it’s more and more that the millennials are taking over (they bug the hell out of me) but more and more I read comments saying Mitchell is our best player. I also read comments like Gobert is still our best player, but Mitchell is closing the gap quickly, and Mitchell will soon pass him up.

I didn’t need the last game to tell me that Gobert is by far our best player and a top 5-10 player in the league. All the talk on jazz fanz is that Mitchell will or has a great shot at being a first time All-Star. The talk here should be that Gobert should and probably will be an All-Star. No one affects a game like Gobert. We are a average to below average team without Gobert. This isn’t a knock or shot at Mitchell, Gobert should be thought of as a transcendent player around the league. The problem is he’s not even thought of as a transcendent player among jazzfanz. He’s the best center in the game. I don’t give a flying fat **** about Embiid, Joker, KAT or whoever. We lose vs the Wiz without Gobert even if Mitchell has played.

there I said it, I feel better.

Perkins says donovan and Gobert should make it. If we stay around 2-3 until the break. They will make it

F the all-star game.

Burn that **** like the ****ing dumpster that it is. It is an exhibitionist farce the only harms the league.

I love Rudy. But he is a fool for even giving two ***** about that circle jerk party.
He wants to be rewarded for all his hard work he’s one of the 5-10 best players in the world and wants the respect he deserves. He wants to be numbered amongst the best players in the league. He wants what’s rightfully his. If you were him you’d feel the same

Who the best player is and who is most popular are often different answers. And that has nothing to do with being a Millennial. Also, being really good offensively always has and always will get more attention.

Yep. This. Mitchell is a great player, bordering on legit star at some point. Gobert is a generational talent on another level entirely. Wholeheartedly agree.

Not sure it’s a millennial problem. I guess we’ll find out cus the people that are choosing the reserves are not millennials. The all-star game is meant to be a show and be entertaining. Casual fans don’t appreciate how Gobert bends the floor on defense and those are the ones who care about the all-star game. Rudy will likely only be a regular All-Star when he can start making his own highlight plays on the offensive end.

Dang straight! Rudy is Jazz MVP - if he's not an All-Star...... I mean damn. He honestly should be looking at his 5th DPOY award, instead of his 3rd, but he plays in Utah. He should probably be looking at his 3rd All-Star nod, not his first.

I didn’t mean to make it sound like Millennials are the problem. I’ve been burned by their kind at work and am a little prejudice towards them. The ones at my work are dishonest lazy and idiots.

I think there are more than a few on this forum who know who our mvp is without question. Rudy is an all star and all NBA regardless of what any vote says. He should realistically be in the league mvp race because he has more effect on the game than about any other player currently in the race. If we are to win at any level, it's due to Rudy and his impact.

I'm a millenial and I am 100% sure that at this point Golbert is the best player of the team and by a lot.
He is my favorite player and I really hope that we will retire as a Jazzman with a couple of rings.
Don is the heart of our ofense, Golbert is the heart of the team.

The hinderance to gobert isn’t that he isn’t an all world player, it’s that no one wants to tune into the all star game to see a player set screens. The want iso dribble fest lob dunk yadayada

Though Rudy isn't getting All-Star nods, more importantly he was second team All-NBA in 2016-2017 and third team last year. So he was considered a top 10-15 player in the league, not just conference, two out of the last three years, which is actually a more significant honor, as well as DPOY twice.

I think it’s great that you support this Golbert but what about Gobert?

Dikembe, Ben Wallace, Rodman were all stars and defensive badassess back in the day. (Mailman vs Rodman was epic) They we're not offensive options. Today we have 2 way players like AD, Kawhi, Duncan. ASG selections probably affected. time has changed.
