agree. i was hoping Ed could play next to rudy to start the season but he was too unskilled to do it even though he's built like a PF.

2. Davis.

18 out of those 20 dudes are not better than Bradley and 12 of them are not even real NBA players. Your hate for TB is so unwarranted that it's getting ridiculous. The guy literally just had a solid game versus nets two nights ago. And I'm sure not many guys in the league right now can just come in, score a Ortg of 191 and help you lead by double digits during majority of a game against the best team in the NBA.
 
I think fifteen years ago Bradley would be more than fine, but the way the game is officiated nowadays makes it very hard on centers. Any real physicality is not allowed, thus, in order to protect the paint, centers must have an unlikely combination of lenght and athleticism. Most centers today, even the league starters, are simply not up to this task. And if the starters are not up to the task, what one can say about the back-ups? I really cannot think of any current back-up in the league that could sub in for Gobert and we would go "Woohoo! No problem!"

Some posters here are clearly Favors' widows, but the fact is that he is not available. Besides, he is also payed as a starter, not as a back-up.

We sort that problem by the numbers. Bring in better perimeter defenders who could stop opponents from penetrating into the paint easily on almost every possession would be a good start. I'd also give Brantley some burn at PF. He has some rebounding/hustling potential who could also help reduce the load on our center. Just wish Brantley’s G league skills could translate somewhat to the NBA then we’d be looking at a player that we wished Ed could be when we signed him in the summer.

I agree. My dream addition would be a though and quick-footed 6'7 or 6'8 guy who could be put on perimeter scorers like Ingram and actually bother the guy a bit. This guy would not need to be a good scorer or shooter. I really mean someone who would be used 5 to 10 minutes a night just to take the opposition's best perimeter scoring option off their rhythm

Yeah... Said it during game thread that it truly concerns me the way we were defending Ingram... As hot as he was tonight, he really is just a poor man version of KD, Kawhi, Giannis. We gotta find better solutions than a 6'4 Royce Oneale for those guys comes playoffs...
 
Bradley is coming along. But he isnt there yet and we are in win now mode so I think we need Davis to wake up or trade him for Baynes or a Robin Lopez type.

You got all of that from, "we need a backup center"?
Pretty obvious that White Chocolate wasn't saying that we need to find someone off the bench that makes everyone forget about Gobert. Also pretty obvious that he wasn't slamming Goberts efforts. Also pretty obvious that our current backup Center (Tony Bradley) is far from the right guy to back up Gobert and White Chocolate is absolutely right. I'm aware that this has been said over and over again, but we have to do something if we're going to contend. Bradley is a glaring weakness with our 2nd unit.
