The only Tarantino film I have seen is The Hateful Eight, and I doubt I will see another. I agree with you 100%.
I do recommend inglorious basterds. Pretty well done foreign language film (for us foreign language anyway). German people played by Germans. French as well I believe. Interesting thought experiment about an alternate history on WWII, and not as much of the straight up gratuitous violence in most Tarantino films, although there is plenty.

But most of his films seem like he is trying to see how many times he can have people say the N-word. Pervasive is understating it, a lot.

Go to YouTube and watch the Honest Trailer for "every Tarantino movie".

I enjoyed IB and I thought that Cristoph Waltz’s work was sublime.

The Italians are definitely Italian too.

It's critically acclaimed and I am sure some posters here liked it but holy **** I hated Holy Motors so much.

I can understand hating it because it was too slow or self indulgent. But Walton Goggins, Jennifer Jason Leigh, and Kurt Russell really made that movie for me.
I loved it due to goggins

Does anyone else not care all that much about what professional movie critics think? Movie taste, like music taste, is a very subjective matter imo

I’ll trust my eyeballs (during the trailer or commercial), the director of the film, and look at the score on IMDb, realizing it’s about 0.8-1.2 points higher than it will generally score a year or two later.
