2020 NBA trade deadline discussion

Very debatable that Kanter survived last year. He definitely cost the Blazers a game. Probably even 2. There were many UGLY stretches.
He had to play too much though. I'm still waiting to see Morgan play backup center. His garbage time minutes are so disappointing... he is banished to the corner Dante Exum style.

I’m not sure why, but at this point I have no hope that Morgan is going to get a shot to prove something this year. Like, zero expectations on that.

Would need an injury at backup center to both Ed and Tony to play him at center. If Niang got hurt maybe he'd play some 4 and they could ask him to actually participate in the offense.

It’s very hard to understand the mindset of a jazz fan who wouldn’t take it as a good sign that Udoh was back on the team. Even if we made another deal and he ended up as the third string, that’s one hell of an insurance policy for a team that’s punching its ticket with defense.

ARE we punching our ticket with defense? I like having a bench that is offensively potent. If we want to go back to last year's "ugly it up and hope they don't score" bench play, Davis is more than sufficient. The Jazz are one of the best at turning pennies into dimes and nickels and they dropped Udoh. They seem to know what they are doing.

I'm not saying Ekpe took the NBA by storm. He was MVP of the Euro League before we signed him.

It is clear that the Jazz are playing some sort of Moneyballl. I'd bet they already have a list of players they feel like fit, and will pursue those plays players if they become available .

They clearly don’t hit it on every deal.
