Oh right. He probably meant to say that president's don't have to obey laws. That makes perfect sense. This couldn't possibly be yet another example of political rivals taking a quote out of context and then running with the idea that the opposition's words mean what the listener (rather than the speaker) wants them to mean.

What Dershowitz really said was this:

“If, hypothetically, a lawyer were to make the following argument, we would all agree that he is an incompetent buffoon: if a president does something which he believes will help him get elected, in the public interest, that cannot be the kind of quid pro quo that results in impeachment“


You see, context matters!

Come on, dude. Deep in your heart and not so deep in your brain, these cognitive inconsistencies have to be eating you up. Come back to earth and reclaim your independent thinking.
 
Dershowitz has seriously soiled his reputation. Not quite bad as Rudy. When IMPOTUS is out of power these guys will live under rocks. It is going to be ugly because all these guys are cowards who really hate Donny. Unlike Bush2, who was not competent but likable, respectful, and a decent human being. Trump’s rats will be scurrying for cover. I won’t be feeling sorry for them.

Yeah, let's not pay any attention to what Dershowitz claims he meant. Let's listen instead to what CNN claims he meant. That makes perfect sense.

right? Not only has this been a whole joke to her but now she’s given her Democratic opponent (whoever that might be) amazing ammo to use against her in the general. Of course, maybe she doesn’t fear that? Maybe her biggest fear is appearing not Trumpy enough to avoid being wiped out in a primary challenge by a pro Trump nutjob?
