I agree. I also want a hard worker and someone who is compassionate.

As for Bernie destroying the economy, I don't think he would be able to implement all his ideas.

Most likely not, but at least his diplomatic approach in foreign policy would be miles better than what we’ve had. And healthcare for all is also a strong point of his that I sure wish gets implemented.

More of it, sadly, is that people are reactive. If he gets elected, I’d bet a lot of money the market tumbles because a ton of people would start selling their stocks like crazy.
You are probably right. That's a good (if stupid) point

And he is just a hard worker and intelligent and compassionate.
If he wasn't able to get some of his more socialist policies in place then I'm confident he would move on to something else and work hard at getting that done. And I think most of his ideas are to help the little guy rather than the rich. If anybody was really going to drain the swamp I would think it would be Bernie.
He also seems to be sincere and genuine. 2 more qualities I would like in a president.

Wish he weren't so damn old though.

So the stock market would go down for a few days? Oh the humanity! No way we should elect Sanders because the stock market might temporarily go down and I'd have to look at a slightly lower number for the DOW on my news website. My life would be ruined... and by ruined I mean I might personally have my 401k drop by a few hundred dollars that it will eventually regain.

A few days? A few hundred dollars? Surely you jest. The rich/R’s will be selling **** off like crazy imo. Companies are reactive and would preemptively lay people off to protect their selves. A recession would come. I’d bet a ton of money on it.

How long do you think the stock market would go down because people are scared of Bernie? I mean there are real factors that go into stock values. Eventually people are going to care 1 million times more about the literally millions of other factors than the fact that Bernie is the President.

And, the stock market hardly matters to me at all. It isn't like I get a raise if the DOW passes 30k or whatever.

All in on Bernie. He is the only candidate I think is a good human being. Plus he'll only have time to focus on fixing 1 real issue, hopefully health or student loans. Don't fret you whiny bitches he won't be able to turn the US into socialists, not that that would even be his intent to begin with.
Agreed. Especially about the good human being part.

Sounds like you are saying the rich are holding the economy hostage over... Medicare for all?

Guess we should just continue to hand the reigns to plutocrats just to be safe.

There's no reason to believe Sander's presidency would or even could tank the economy, so that's exactly what you are saying.
Maybe he is saying that Sanders becomes president. Sanders is kind of seen as anti rich/pro poor (no idea if this is true but I think he is seen in that light). The rich (who control the money) **** things up intentionally in a form of protest for us electing a dude who would try to even up the wealth inequality a bit.

Idk but I think Wes is somewhat correct that the economy could take a hit from Sanders being elected. And Wes isn't even close to the first person to float that idea. I have heard it a lot.

I like Bernie a lot btw
