Conley Benched

I think either Conley or his agent likely whined to the front office once the decision was made and then the front office told Quin that Mike needs to stay in the starting lineup.
It seemed like the discussed it individually first then with the team, but I do wonder if Mike's agent got involved and that is how it came down. DL then asks Quin to change... which is a ****** thing to do. Either way the front office intervened here and the can go straight to hell.

I can't decide what is worse... can't wait to see how we respond tonight.

It was absolutely Dennis and Zanick, or Mike and his camp who raised a fuss. Give me back ****ing Rubio. The man wore a headband Joe shirt and Donovan’s mountain shoes to the game the other night. Ricky wanted so bad to be here and we pissed it away for this garbage. Me being one of guilty parties. I miss you Ricky and Derrick....SO MUCH.

I miss his chemistry, I don't miss his turnovers or shooting abilities.

Here’s the thing. Even if our string of poor play isn’t on Conley, it was time for a change. Benching him made the most sense based on data, on-court chemistry, and the strengths and weaknesses of our players.
From DL's perspective this is great... TB gets a fantastic pick and roll partner... maybe it can make two of DL's failures look better.

I can’t believe this what our Utah Jazz team has become

This is on DL , you wanted Conley , you blew up something good

If it is true , and Conleys camp have requested or demanded he start , or Jazz front office have over ruled Snyder , Well I’m not sure I can get my head around it.

I feel for Quinn if this is the case.

The Millers need to sort this crap out ASAP, it’s beyond embarrassing

Here’s some other food for thought.

Joe’s advanced analytics have been God awful recently.

By the way, this supports the FO’s decision. Maybe this will work. Starting to feel like the sky is mere seconds away from impact. Not just falling, it’s about to absolutely crush us any second.

And isn’t it times like these when the opposite of what’s expected occurs?

Jazz are officially in sink or swim mode.

What's the advantage of leaving Conley starting? I'd hate to be Mike cause he has to know the team was massively better without him yet he thinks hes an all star.

The advantage is Joe has been God awful for the last few weeks while Mike hasn’t.

Maybe it’ll work. I hate that this clown show is going on but for some reason I’m coming around on tonight. Like think we may win by 25 even.

I re-listened to Tony’s interview. I do feel like it was Zanick and Lyndsey that got involved and made it change after Quin had made a decision. Exum is a prime example of where the FO and Quin were not on the same page. I think they weren’t on this. Quin and his staff made one decision and the FO changed it. Hard to know for sure obviously. The FO probably isn’t okay with benching a guy making $30 million and they gave up so much for.

This is all part of DL's master plan: Bench Mike, make him look so bad that he opts out of his contract in the offseason. Oh wait, if he opts out then I have nothing to trade in the offseason/at the trade deadline to recoup all the assets I gave away to get him. . . umm never mind . . . call TJ and have him tell the world Joe offered to go to the bench. Yeah that will work!

God I’d love if Conley opted out and we were able to sign Ibaka this summer. Dude would help out so much.

My hunch as to some of the drama surrounding the Jazz involves the Exum trade. It's no closely guarded secret that Joe and Ex were close. When he was medically cleared, Dante just sat on the bench. He barely got garbage time minutes and Quin and Locke would scream to the masses either he's just not ready or we don't want him embarrassed. Then the trade happens and we have Ex traded for Clarkson and essentially Green for Tucker. Now we have a couple of more chemistry issues. Green was close to Spida and Conley. Not long thereafter Dante has his 28 point game. Joe now realizes that Quin and management are abject liars and that he might be next. The perfect brew was starting to ferment.

Why is everyone so negative on Conley? Before his rest games he was starting to get a good flow. Y'all need to stop being impatient babies. It's the regular season. This is the time to work out kinks and get through the funk

So is Quin an impatient baby because he was clearly ready for an adjustment until other heads got involved.
