What's new

2020 Presidential election

Let me get this straight. Bernie led in all the polls and we were to believe all the polls but all of a sudden the media and Warren ****ed it all up. Lmfao.
Yes. Her attacks on Bernie were huge along with the establishment and the media teaming up to coalesce around Biden and protect him.

As far as electing someone as president, sure it makes them less relevant. It just seems strange to me that someone like Sanders can run for office, but have such a different political position than the vast majority of the party he is running with. The very fact that he doesn't call himself a Democrat should speak volumes.
If Bernie had never branded himself as a socialist, and focused on one or two impactful new potential government programs (such as healthcare reform/single payer), he would be winning the Democratic ticket by a landslide. Instead, he praised Cuba, denounced capitalism, and pushed a lot of agendas that most moderate democrats were not on board with (cancelling student loans, free college, green new deal, housing for all, moratorium on deportations, universal childcare, etc.)

The country has been slowly turning left for a long time. Democratic Socialists have nothing to do with it. The Woke Left and Socialism are scaring a lot of people in the other direction.
It's got nothing to do with what Bernie did or didn't do. The MSM just can't be beat while boomers are still alive

The media most likely won. The endless slander of Bernie and protection of establishment candidates have paid off.

single later health care isn’t synonymous to Medicare for all. You’ve made this mistake a few times now. They’re two different things. Single payer is a category of health care while Medicare is a specific system. There are many different systems under the single payer umbrella.

Most people agree that single payer health care systems are best. They don’t agree that Medicare for all is the best way to go about it. Especially when voters are told the details about what Medicare for all means.

nonsense. Bernie was the most protected of all the Democratic candidates. It wasn’t until the last few weeks until he was finally vetted.

Klobuchar has a hit piece about her months ago about being a tough boss. Warren has been dragged since October when she came out with her detailed M4A plan. Before that her transcripts and former affiliation with the Republican Party. Pete was dragged for being gay and merely a mayor. Kamala was dragged for her work as a prosecutor. Booker was attacked for his work with pharmaceuticals. Biden was attacked before he even joined the race. And Hillary was attacked for decades over the dumbest things.

face it, Bernie was given a free pass, the DNC made it easier for him to win in 2020, and yet he still lost by performing worse than in 2016.

you clearly need better sources of information.

It's a slogan that is very popular. It is less popular when you explain that it means abolishing private health insurance.

Again, that's the reality of who's voting.

if you kept up with the news you’d know that poll questions like “abolish private insurance and replace it with government insurance” have been asked and the majority has been “yes”. In every state.
