Post Your Jump Shot

Best I could do right now. They didn’t call the foul btw. What you think?

That kid acting like he's throwing Thor's hammer in the bottom left.

lmao. What stinks about it? The only two things that really stick out to me are that I shoot the ball too early and I need to get a bit more vertical with my follow through (not by too much though). I probably need to release it a tick or two later. I could use maybe another inch of lift, but the idea you need to get high on your jumper is antiquated. I have comfortable pull range from 28 feet though so my transfer of energy chain is fairly good.

To compare myself to a NBA player, I've always been told I shoot a lot like Trevor Ariza and I would agree.

Your shot looks nothing like Trevor Ariza's.

I’d say you are a little rigid in the lower body. Can’t tell if it’s the angle but your feet seem a little close together. Again might be angle but release point seems less than ideal, but if you don’t have issues getting the shot off it’s not a problem.

ld say based off one shot it’s a 7.5 but if it goes in enough bump it over an 8. I’ve seen guys with ugly *** jumpers be assassins so going in in the most important thing.

Umm... no. Not even close.

I disagree. We are really similar. The main difference is release timing. He gets his off more at the universally accepted height of jump, or closer to it. As as result I'm getting the ball out ahead of me more to flick it up and create a bit more of a 1 motion shot vs his more 1.5 motion shot where the ball is closer into his body and slightly higher.

Everything is pretty close to mine though. The first shot is a pretty good example.

I would but the site doesn't support mp4 and I am too lazy to copy it to my computer and convert. I will tell you one thing though, I am streaky as hell. 7/7 one game and 0/6 the next one.
