How has the virus affected you directly?

Is anyone in the medical field? I'm hearing a lot about Chloroquine and Azithromycin working well against this virus but I don't know enough about it to know if it's true. Elon Musk has been tweeting about it.

I’m northern Italian, I have a Chinese wife with auto immune disease, my company in China just re-open, this week I closed the Italian one till I don’t know when. These was the craziest 3 months of my life.

Unemployment is going to be a bear for a long while on this. As consumers lose income, it will affect those in fields not even related to the service industry which is hit the hardest right now.

As an example, if you're a loan processor for new home loans, any market crash is going to drop the demand for houses as clients will start to scatter. You could expect cuts to be made there.

If you work for Ancestry as a software engineer, you might see a decline in people signing up as they'll be saving their money the best they can. Less revenue for the company means they'll start to look for more cuts than you would normally get anyway with working in the tech industry.

This isn't going to be fixed in a few months. We should consider ourselves lucky if this only ends up being a recession.

Say what you want about Maxine Waters, I don't care how many democrats are on the house finance committee - how she got this bill on the floor is beyond me. ...No doubt it gets watered down - this is the equivalent of every American winning the Showcase Showdown on The Price is Right.

Maybe it's there but I didn't see anything for renters. Renting has climbed dramatically in the last 10 years and so many people, especially lower income, rent and don't carry a mortgage. And we rent from a private individual, not a company of any kind, so I wonder if it were needed how that would work.
