Post Your Gobert or Mitchell Trade Ideas

I could be talked into those depending on what the picks are.

If we traded with the Knicks, I would want to try to send Conley too. NY is one of the few teams with cap space this summer. They could have loads of it if they decline some team options. Adding Conley and Rudy would seem like an immediate lockerroom overhaul in the right direction for them.

I would do...
Rudy and Conley to NY
Randle and Ed Davis to Charlotte
Rozier, Robinson, Knox, Nkilitina and a boatload of picks to Utah

We would have the cap space and picks to really go shopping in the trade and free agency markets.

Wowsers are some of those Bleacher Report deals bad (that Dallas one is basically - what if Utah gave away Gobert?, Denver one similar for Mitchell). NY/CHI are kind of in the right direction if we did go with moving Rudy (decent prospect and a decent pick), but would both require significantly more value. The OKC one is... odd, but not a billion miles away either, I think the pick is moving the wrong direction there.

God, fans complain about player loyalty and one little article is written and now you are ready to trade Rudy or DM for mostly bad deals. If DM is peeved about this still then I will lose some respect for him. I wouldn't trade him nor Rudy unless a great deal was offered but it would be for basketball reasons instead of hurt feelings.

#5 is the best option by far for the Jazz. I'd be very happy with that trade if they were able to work it out.

Oh ****, we're really doing this? Okay ---

From Chicago, I want Lauri Markkanen and their top-5 pick this year.

From New York, I want RJ Barrett, a big and a protected pick.

From Atlanta, I want Deandre Hunter, Clint Capella and protected a 1st.

From Miami, I want Bam Adebayo and filler.

From Washington, I want Brad Beal and Thomas Bryant or a 1st.

The Chicago trade interests me. Markkanen isn't having a breakout 3rd year so his value isn't sky high, but he still has all star potential. He has the 3 point shot, is a pretty good driver for a 7 footer, and can post up a little.
He is also not real happy in Chicago, probably with Zach Lavine taking 21 shots a game.

Markkanen should be an elite pick-and-pop / pick-and-roll big, but Chicago is using him mostly as a spot-up shooter. And yeah, when Zach Lavine isn't chucking up shots, they bring in Coby White to chuck up shots. Their coach Jim Boylen isn't very sophisticated, but Chicago may replace him.

I think we sadly might eventually be relegated to the fact that we’re going to have to trade Gobert. The players and FO both seem to have sided with Mitchell, their Golden Boy. If we do trade Gobert and then Mitchell walks ala Hayward in four+ years, this will be a ****ing fiasco.

Ya I think Snyder could make much better use of Lauri, particularly when defenses switch and he would get a 6'5" player on him.

Not only can you get more value from Mitchell, but the team can continue its development trajectory without having to change its identity. That sounds precisely like a DL comfort zone.

A player like RJ Barrett + a super high pick would be a pretty good haul if our backs were up against this kind of wall.

If the cap shrinks, we may be able to parlay that pick into a pretty good win-now piece if that remains the short-term emphasis.

Rudy for Paul George.
Pick up Baynes/Favors in free agency.
Would love to get crowder or a similar player to bring some toughness to the bench.

Starting:
Donovan
PG
Royce
Bogdanovic
Baynes

Bench:
Clarkson/Conley
Ingles
Niang
Favors

Solid starting defensive lineup with outstanding scoring ability.
Ingles, Favors pick and role off the bench with a scoring pg and a 3 guy like Niang.

Doubt we win a championship tho with how good the clippers would be.
