Following Potential 2020 draftees

If the season resumes, and the Jazz play 5 more regular-season games, I hope they lose 3 of them and we can slip by OKC and Miami in the draft order. There are 22 guys that I'd feel good about drafting.

If our main targets are gone, I'd consider taking a flyer on Aleksej Pokusevski, who reminds me a bit of a young Keith Van Horn at Utah.

The clip where he's dribbling it past halfcourt and puts it behind his back is saucy, he's got some good body control for a player that size/age for sure...

TBH I'm all for Utah taking Pokusevki. I've always advocated drafting another 7footer here with Rudy and that kid fits the bill.

What really is the risk? other than obviously he provides pretty much no substantial short term upside for the team..

there's obviously some backside risk too if he turns out good how much are players like this gonna get offered on the market? For some reason I think of the massive overpay on the Jon Leurer contract....

but really his deal would be up and restricted after Bojan's deal so it handcuffs in a way, if things work out..

HE could present utah with a dynamic look and at the end of the 1st in this draft thats a homerun..

Immanuel Quickley, a soph at UK, shot 42.8% from 3pt and over 92% at the foul line. Yet another guard in a deep class of guards. I wouldn't be shocked to see him sneak into the end of the first round.

I like Quickley a lot. I think he's one of those guys who impresses the teams he works out for.

So how bout this decision from Landers Nolley.. Just turned 20, apparently x-ferring to Memphis and will sit out a year...

Kinda a headscratcher tbh... I hope he doesnt just put all his eggs in that basket, and go get his NBA eval when that sorta thing is up and running again...

You can be sure just about every team will be impressed with just how much he improved in one season...

I think the make or break aspect of his stock is his ability to operate with a screen, can he polish those PG skills he once flashed back in HS a lot more? If a team takes him higher than expected, surely they'll believe in that sorta stuff.

Also; just how athletic is he at the NBA level? that'll hold a lot of weight in teams evals.. Definitely a player who could boost his stock at the combine...

Jarrell Brantley looks like he could be a Paul Pierce/Joe Johnson-type big wing who plays on the ball if he can hit more of his shots and play off of screens.

lmao cmon now. He is nothing like Pierce or JJ. He's Julius Randle/Jabari Parker with less talent at this point. The Jazz probably want him to start playing like Trevor Booker more to get minutes.

Predictable, but it looks like a damn near guarantee Kira Lewis goes before Utah.

The 10 - 20 range of this draft is pretty sweet. Cole Anthony, RJ Hampton, Devin Vassell, Aaron Nesmith, Saddiq Bey, Jaden McDaniels, the Pokusevki guy, Kira Lewis, Patrick Williams, Theo Maledon... That's a pretty strong third tier.
