Didn't Shoeless Joe Jackson's team prove why you shouldn't be able to regardless if they did or not?
Several members of the that team took money to deliberately lose the World Series. Not even close to the same thing.

That's exactly my point!Several members of the that team took money to deliberately lose the World Series. Not even close to the same thing.
Those two *******s didn't kill Jordan - they either found him dead after the fact or were tipped off by a local drug dealer.
One ratted out the other to save his own ***. They both maintain their innocence. I also found it odd the public story (they found him sleeping in his car off the highway) is not what was testified in court - Jordan was killed in a case of mistaken identity in a hotel parking lot.
"Harp had never really talked about defense or guarding people," Ehlo added. "He wasn’t a bad defender, I’ll give him that much, but I think those years with the Bulls where he got those championships, he was definitely third or fourth fiddle, so all of a sudden he becomes this lockdown defender, apparently.
"I don’t really remember him during our time wanting to play defense that much. He kind of shocked me with those comments, saying he wanted to guard Michael."
As Ehlo hinted at, Harper went on to join the Bulls in 1994 and eventually won three championships with Jordan, mainly as a defensive specialist. Therefore, there might be a bit of revisionist history going on here.
A guilty person maintaining his innocence. I’m shocked.

This reads pretty to the contrary of what you’re saying.
I'm more than willing to concede I'm wrong. Like I said I'm not a conspiracy theorist by nature and it's not like I studied this issue like some folks obsess over the Kennedy assassination or **** like that. But I'll leave you with this:
I've read interviews from MJ when speaking of his relationship with his dad, they spoke constantly - like almost every day. Meanwhile, James Jordan was missing for weeks and the family never bothered to contact the police. Their explanation is he had a tendency to take off at times to be on his own - a guy with a mobile phone in his car? In 1993? Don't buy it. When people are missing and their loved ones don't call the cops it's usually for a very specific reason.
Makes sense. We all build up the positive things and minimize the negative in our memories. Not on purpose, it's just the way memory works. So these guys all emphasized the positive in their memories so being reminded how ugly it was for real they bristle and strike back. Some of the old-timers are getting a little chippy because of the Jordan doc. Craig Ehlo's response to Ron Harper's comments regarding "The Shot":
