Tough Day To Be In Law Enforcement

Why were they looting in the first place there?

I dont know the situation I was not there. The video is very hard to tell. That is what lots of eye witnesses claimed.

Some of the looters are the victims and have been for generations and were trying to make a point. I am sure others were poor people that saw looting and joined in for free things. But you have your mind made up about it. You believe looting is never okay and people should be stabbed for looting a Target.

Its far beyond a black and white issue to me, like most things.

I get mob violence, hell i'm all for it. But why aren't they burning down republican offices, NRA joints, tea party and newscorp buildings? Target your oppressors.

I don’t think he’s saying they’re Russians. And I don’t think anyone is saying that all the property damage or fires are from this, just that it’s a thing. I believe this type of thing is happening and it would behoove all of us to research the Boogaloo movement.
I have personally seen it happen in riots in Turkey. Nationalists leading people where police are waiting, ambushing people, reporting to police, etc. It's definitely a tactic.

I could not disagree more. I definitely don't understand them but I'm trying. Based on people's posts here it's clear most people don't understand them.

I’m not saying we know what it’s like to walk in their shoes. I obviously do not. I’m simply saying I think most of us understand blacks in this country are beyond being sick and tired of being discriminated against, judged, harassed, assaulted, and killed and are at a boiling point. They want to be treated fairly and with decency like any human being deserves.

This.

I still can't believe he doesn't have a problem with the innocent being involved.

Fair enough. If you think most people understand that its even ******** how few people actually do anything about it or actually believe them.

White people behind keyboards rationalizing the rioting and looting is dangerous and almost unanimously unwelcome by the black community. It’s destroying black communities.

I'm still flabbergasted with people doing this. Like, if you don't understand why people are rioting, burning things down, looting, destroying everything in sight then you simply just don't get the message. Virtue signaling at its finest.

Gawd damn it.

eh?

If anyone is glorifying rioting and looting, yeah. If anyone is saying "yes, this is what needs to happen!" yeah.

Understanding where this came from... I think that is the obligation of all people.

So I wanted to respond to this again. I think the internet is dangerous. Words from behind a keyboard are dangerous. Tone and context amongst other things are not oftentimes accurately conveyed. I think a White person even saying “I understand why they’re pissed,” nodding one’s head as they post it with a sort of supreme confidence as if one’s helping the cause, is potentially very irresponsible and dangerous. I’ve seen a handful of blacks whose cities have been destroyed or businesses ruined saying such.

Or maybe you think you understand when you don't? What makes it clear other posters don't understand the message? Because they're against rioting and looting? Does that mean that Floyd's family doesn't understand too?

That sounds nice if they were organized and were not beyond upset and rational.

Also there are far far more oppressors than that. The reality is most institutions, organizations, and businesses are oppressors in many of their eyes. Property ownership is an oppressor.

Not sure what you’re saying here. Not saying that in any sort of a flippant or argumentative manner. I just don’t understand.

I couldn't agree more. I just don't get it, man

Why does donald with his first tweet in nearly 24 hrs feel compelled to tell us that white supremacists aren’t involved in this protests?

I just want to bump this again.
The first time I watched it I literally had tears coming down my cheeks. I'm a emotional baby who cries watching sad movies or tv shows though so it's not that surprising (I get it from my mom.)

Today I showed this video to my wife. She never cries during movies and is much stronger than me emotionally. I had tears in my eyes again(of course) but noticed in my peripheral vision that my wife was wiping her face with hand and I looked at her and to my surprise she had tears running down her face too.

The speech wasn't perfect. He said some things I didn't like. But it wasn't about his words as much as HOW he said them. His tone of sincerity, vulnerability, and honestly shines through. I love that he said multiple times that he doesn't have the answers. That he is mad as hell. That he doesn't want to be there etc.

Just such a great speech. The fact that it wasn't perfect and he wasn't reading from something, it all came from the heart, was wonderful.

I would love to see more of the leading politicians speak in this manner. Even if I don't like what they are saying, at least I can respect their words anyway if they are being sincere and honest and trying their best to be understanding and compassionate. Be vulnerable. Admit that you don't have the answers and that you make mistakes. Be human for God's sake.

Up. Amirite?

Nope, I dont understand that is the opposite of what I just said. I dont think most people understand because its much bigger issue and it isnt getting fixed. If most people understood it would stop. Either that or most people are just terrible bad racist people but I think its more ignorance. But this is a big complex issue and I am simply trying to read their side and hear what they are saying.

That if most people understand what you just posted then people are purposely ignoring it or believe that is not what is happening just what certain people believe. I think that is ******. I think most of it is due to ignorance.

I can just picture Thriller following Trump's twitter feed and checking his phone for Trump tweets every 5 minutes then having to wait a whole 24 hours for a new one. He probably went insane waiting so long.

So you don't understand but you understand it enough to tell others they don't understand the message if they they're upset with rioting.
