Tough Day To Be In Law Enforcement

Doesn't look like the police force there is doing a great job of keeping the peace

Let’s give them more money, tanks, and tear gas. The will help fix it for sure. That’s how all other democracies solve civic protests. Instead of addressing systemic racism and police brutality That protestors are angry about, let’s bomb the **** out of them.

Precisely. Thank you.

Our Anglo-Australian brothers and sisters are in this exact same boat. If you don’t feel laughed at, too, then that’s only a function of where the attention is pointed (and where you’ve decided to hide in the shadows).

Not at all, our national myth is based around inclusion and mateship (for white men) your national myth around the frontier and expansion is your own nonsense.

please enlighten me on the circumstances and causes of Australian bushfires.

I recall the wildfires, but I’m not Australian, and did not follow the situation there quite as much as the fires in the Amazon, which is often referred to as the Earth’s lungs. I would expect climate change to be cited, and it was, as was arson. And yes, I do know you have a fire season, and the brush fires are not a new phenomenon.

Some claimed arson played a bigger role...

It is true that your country is absolutely the laughing stock of the rest of the world for so many reasons atm.

Trump is the number one reason. On the other hand, the spread of the protest movement over racial inequality and police reform tells me that much of world does indeed still look to my nation for inspiration. I have been flat out amazed at the size of the crowds in cities and nations around the world, apparently inspired by events in the United States of America. Including, and I’m not telling you anything you do not know here, demonstrations for aboriginal rights in Australia.

What my nation is going through right now is very difficult, yet when I see so many other nations inspired by a social movement here, in my nation, I do not believe those other nations are doing so because they regard the United States as a laughingstock. People the world over still look to us for inspiration, and people the world over wish to see the United States freed from the grip of Trump, a man General Mattis called a “proto-neofascist”. China is using our problems for propaganda purposes where their own Hong Kong crackdown is concerned, but a good deal of the rest of the world wishes us the best, I do believe.

And yes, I am perhaps naive in that I have never lost my youthful idealism, and am myself inspired by seeing it is our youth that is leading the social movement growing out of the massive turnouts from coast to coast. It is always the young people, it was in my day, and it is today. And I am proud of them.

Saw this on a news clip on YouTube. Dang, some of those pictures are hard to look at - complete and utter nightmare. I'm glad the community has rallied around them to help them get back on their feet.

Can't say I like this but this is outrageously reckless. Looting is one thing but these looters were acting like animals. Was this part of some organized group. Where were the police when this happened? Instead they pick on peaceful protesters and unarmed persons they can bully with impunity because they know they have qualified immunity.

While reading some of his tweets I saw that he shared a Shapiro Tweet. And to make Thriller lose his gawd damn mind and call me alt right, I decided to share. I kinda chuckled at it. I can't believe people think like this lady.

You mean, you can't believe that cities need to spend a third of their budget to handle break-ins by burglars?

No, that's you being needy and projecting.

Just because I write only some of my thoughts about something that doesn't equate to what I really mean is *let One Brow think for me.*

Actually, sarcastic and dismissive. I'll try harder next time.

When you're echoing Ben Shapiro, does it really qualify as "thouhgts"?

I mean, the video he shared was pretty head scratching. You might roll your eyes at it but I'll just roll mine at you.

*anxiously awaiting Thriller to call me a Shapiro fan boy and alt right because I shared the tweet which was probably the first thing I've seen from the guy in 2020.*
