2020 Jazzfanz all time Jazz draft, and renaming of TJF Sweepstakes!!!

Another guy who should’ve been drafted was Jay Humphries, I wanted to draft him but didn’t really need him as I had both Hill and Pete, Pete acting as the backup point. Felt Exum’s defense would be better serve my team

I would’ve preferred him to Giricek for reasons of fit on my 8-man team (legit combo guard that shot >40% from three), but Giricek was my 6th pick and I really wanted to pick the best shooter/scorer on the board to shore up that unit.

I was shocked that both he and Evans were available at my last pick but I went with the player that would bring some ruckus and I love the pairing with Diaw.

The point being: Jay Humphries should’ve been drafted. Probably in the 7th round.
 
Should we do another poll with multiple choices for losers. Which 2 of these are the best or something like that. I think some undeserving teams could go on to next round because they played worse teams.

I agree. He was Stockton's first or second best backup (with Eisley). And filled in nicely with smaller lineups next to Stock. He had a really good IQ and knew how to keep the game under control and maintain or expand leads with Stock on the bench. Def underrated.

I basically got called a hack for trying to implement an idea from someone else because I quote... I can’t just make new rules after we start

That's fair. Just an idea, obviously it only happens if everyone agrees to it but some may not because matchups are already up.
 
We’re way past this point, but I think having a simple vote on the eight best teams could’ve made quick work of deciding who advances, in addition to a way to create seeding (those with the most votes = higher, less votes = lower).

The championship round should be the best two teams.
 
1. When are the other matches going up, @Thee jazz fan ? I think the reason these things lose steam is that they get dragged out. I would like to avoid that.

2. Are we doing what @Ellis269 suggested once we reach the round of eight (winning team grabs one player from the losing team)?

3. How are the round of eight matchups determined? Is there any method to seeding or is it just random? Might I propose that the seeding be determined by number of votes in round one and that matchups are determined from there (with the goal of pitting the two best teams for the championship)?

People complained about stealing players, so no. I will reseed second round if no objections.

I get home late. If I have time I’ll set the remaining three matches, otherwise I’ll set them up Sunday morning

Did people complain, or was it just gandalfe (for reasons that are irrelevant IMO)? Ultimately it’s your call, but maybe an informal vote could be useful for this if it’s not out of the question.

I’m in favor.

I’m pretty sure WC called me amateurish or something for wanting to change the game mid stream, but eh... what the hell he pissed me off pretty good, so let’s do it. There will be player stealing... winner can steal a bench player from the team they beat, then winners in third round will be able to steal a starter from either team they beat in the second or third round to give the two teams a better chance to get a player that fits their team best. If WC bitches about that he is forfeit.
