Game Thread September 1, 2020: Jazz at Nuggets - Game 7

Added to Calendar: 09-01-20

Gobert woke up 2 games too late. 18 boards. He should have feasted on the boards this series.

Yes.

oh, so +/- is an indicator for defense? or to assess individual perfomance? didn't know that. Want to talk math? Let's go. I went to Harvard & MIT.

tonight his defense was really good. He fought over screens and stayed attached to Murray. He draw two offensive fouls in the first half. He got his hands on loose balls.

Again, answer my question: what were his positives according to you?
like his defense was so good that it made up for his 2-13 shooting? you serious?

For what reason would Conley not opt in? He's on the downside of his career.
I mean if we can say hey Mike we'll give you 3 years at 10 million each instead would that work?

Sounds like you’re makin excuses for him. You can’t tell me that Snyder didn’t have a whole lot to do with our fixation on Conley which cost us our killer bench with players like Faves, Crowder and picks. Even Allen has become a decent guy off the bench.
The future pick really hurts, as it also hinders our ability to make trades now. The FO blew the vets signings, although many didn't see Ed Davis being this bad.

Question: if you have to choose between Crowder and Royce, what would be your choice?

For all your Quin haters, Mudiay had 14 points vs both Dallas and San Antonio in the bubble. Think some of those might have helped when we were getting blown out? It's like Jeff Green, Quin can't coach up some players. That is an epic fail.
in all fairness, Quin tried to bench Conley and WAS TOLD by guys upstairs that benching Conley was not an option.

He’s not a bad player, we just paid waaay too much for him. Mostly it’s the fit. That being said he’s much steadier down the stretch than Clarkson. Snyder made a big mistake with that in game six IMO.

when you start pimping your degrees on a sports message board you’re losing...

Why couldn’t we have both if we sign a George Hill for example, instead of Conley?

you seriously think Conley is that elite of a defender/Murray stopper that his presence on D only makes up for all the bricks that he had tonight?
You keep avoiding my question and then have the nerve to quote me as saying "elite". I even put "tonight" on bold to point out he played good defense this game. Don't paraphrase me if you are going to lie.

Again, answer the question.

I worked with a guy that went to both Harvard and MIT. First day he was confronted by 8 employees at once he had a meltdown. Ended up slapping a woman. He also couldn't do excel to save his life and never could understand array formulas. But he was too smart for all of us, reminded us daily he was smart. Talked about his degrees from Harvard and MIT. Believe me, you have us all very very very very very...very...very............very impressed.
