2020 Presidential Debates

He didn't need to win the silent majority is against Democrats terrorist platform. America saw what side Joe was on.

Why do Republicans call themselves the "silent majority?" Clearly they are the very loud minority based on the popular votes the past several decades and just about every poll out there

This is what happened in the Republican primaries as well back in 2016. Trump was on stage with a row full of polished, polite politicians, and he starts making these bold, brash, combative statements. He interrupts people. Trump is a bully. He's a jerk. That's actually what a lot of people like about him. It makes him seem genuine.

But now that he has has his established base who are voting for him no matter what, will this really help him? I don't think his style of debating is going to help him pick up undecided voters, and I definitely don't think he will be swaying Biden supporters with that performance.

Ummm the silent majority is why Trump was down to Hillary but won. It's called the "SILENT majority" for a reason. The silent majority is not Republican no, they are true blue collar Americans that just want to live not be terrorized by anti police, looting, and violence perpetrated by the alt left.

The rest of the topics didn't move the needle.

I don’t think The outlook on Donald’s debate performance is going to improve much over the next few days.

For me it makes him genuinely seem like a bully and jerk. I'm not a fan of bullies or jerks. It's weird that anyone is.

If you're asking me, here's where I think Trump gets traction:
-- He tells working class people that he will protect their jobs from bad trade deals, excessive regulations, clean energy initiatives, and excessive lockdowns.
-- He tells middle-class and suburban people that he will protect their 401ks by keeping the economy moving.
-- He tells everyone that he will support police and shut down the riots.
-- He tells people that he's working with the private sector to fast track a covid vaccine, something that everyone supposedly wanted.

These are the core issues that really hit home for people, and I think he's doing well with these issues. If you're someone who cares about his childish demeanor, his taking advantage of tax loopholes, or if you think systemic racism is a big issue in this election, then you're not going to vote for Trump to begin with.

If Trump gets re-elected, I think it will be because:
1) people believe in him leading an economic recovery
2) people believe he won't allow riots to spread
3) people think these lockdowns are excessive and don't want Joe to impose another national lockdown.

Lol the brilliant tax loophole where when you lose money over 20 years you don't pay taxes. He so smart.

No one learned anything new here. Trump's best moment probably asking Biden to name one law enforcement organization that supported him (he had nothing). Biden looked ok I thought, but he was likely on adderall so the man we saw tonight wouldn't be the same one running the country.

I think low-key one of Trump's best moments was talking about the companies like Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson who are close to releasing a vaccine. That's actually a big accomplishment. It became an argument about whether the vaccine would be ready this year or early next year, but either way, it's an achievement.

"Joe Biden didn't do anything in 47 years... But also Joe Biden will singlehandedly turn American into a Communist dystopia immediately after taking office!!!"

The argument is that leftists will try to turn the U.S. more socialist and Biden will be too weak and tired to do anything about it.
