If you're asking me, here's where I think Trump gets traction:
-- He tells working class people that he will protect their jobs from bad trade deals, excessive regulations, clean energy initiatives, and excessive lockdowns.
-- He tells middle-class and suburban people that he will protect their 401ks by keeping the economy moving.
-- He tells everyone that he will support police and shut down the riots.
-- He tells people that he's working with the private sector to fast track a covid vaccine, something that everyone supposedly wanted.

These are the core issues that really hit home for people, and I think he's doing well with these issues. If you're someone who cares about his childish demeanor, his taking advantage of tax loopholes, or if you think systemic racism is a big issue in this election, then you're not going to vote for Trump to begin with.

If Trump gets re-elected, I think it will be because:
1) people believe in him leading an economic recovery
2) people believe he won't allow riots to spread
3) people think these lockdowns are excessive and don't want Joe to impose another national lockdown.

I think low-key one of Trump's best moments was talking about the companies like Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson who are close to releasing a vaccine. That's actually a big accomplishment. It became an argument about whether the vaccine would be ready this year or early next year, but either way, it's an achievement.

The argument is that leftists will try to turn the U.S. more socialist and Biden will be too weak and tired to do anything about it.
 
Oh yeah Trump also said Insulin is as cheap as water and bragged about bringing back Big 10 football for some reason

Trump was throwing his weight around and asserting his view very aggressively. He was needling and heckling at Joe. You could interpret that as a powerful expression of his convictions or just plain annoying. Joe then got down in the mud and started interrupting as well.

Biden was strong at the beginning talking about Trump's handling of covid, but he didn't offer anything concrete as an alternative recourse.

Trump was strongest on law & order, calling out Antifa and asking Joe to name one police organization that endorsed him. Joe took the Jerry Nadler position and said that Antifa doesn't really exist, and he said that "we don't have time" for him to talk about police who support him.

Trump also did well in making a case for keeping the cities open rather than locking them down for covid. I think this is actually a bigger issue in the election than a lot of pundits are saying. A lot of people are not happy with the lockdowns, they're tired of them, and a lot of people might express that with their vote.

People should be more worried that the sitting president refused to condemn white national Poor Boys and told them to be ready. Law and order when it is people are protesting racism in America but not when it is white collar corruption and people who are his friends. The tax cheat is going to jail when he gets out of office whenever that is. Yes it is ok to kill more people as long as the Dow is doing well. just as many people are tired of people dying and worrying about dying.

Well, the Green New Deal, open borders, socialized medicine, riots in the streets, and rewriting American history, while removing statues are socialist initiatives. The ones that go before Congress will get shot down though.

All the while Trump is pissing on the Constitution and becoming a dictator. Attacking the press, loving other dictators, Socialism is a word that Trump uses to scare people because they don't want anyone talking about how Capitalism has created an income inequality bigger than the Grand Canyon in this country, You know all those programs paid by tax payers money, i.e. social security, Medicare, public education, police, fire depart., roads, security/military-GI Bill.

I'm more intrigued with the VP debates. Pence sucks and has the charisma of soggy cardboard, but Harris is an unknown to a lot of people. And Pence is a career politician so he won't just be yelling nonsense the whole time. He has such a low bar to cross from Trump's debate performance.

wow someone has drank the Faux News kool-aid. Very few democrats that I know want open boarders. What they want are fair treatment of immigrants whether they are legal or not. You GOPers forget that Obama deported many illegal immigrants and also had a bi-partisan immigration bill ready to go but Mitch I block anything Obama wanted to do, kept it on his desk without a vote. Medicare already exists in America so they just want everyone to have an opportunity to have it. Our healthcare system is ranked somewhere around 40th in the world and healthcare for profit is bankrupting many families and keep millions from getting basic care. When are we going to get this cheap and better healthcare Trump promised when elected. Crickets!!!!

All republicans do is rewrite history, they still claim WMDs were found and Iraq was behind 9/11. They have given us the white washed version of America history where the white guys are the good guys and the Indians were the bad guys etc.. If you support the Confederate traitors then you are not a real American. Those statues that were put up years after the events were used for intimidation of blacks in America. Newsflash the confederate traitors LOST and should have never been able to erect any statues. What is next? Should we invite Japan to erect statues in Pearl Harbor or maybe the British can come over and erect some statues to falsely glamorize their LOSSES. Of course not, neither should the confederate traitors who lost and then killed thousands of America soldiers and the honorable Abraham Lincoln. They deserved to be banned and imprisoned for their failed attempt of destroying the Union.

I mean they will if the Dems take the Senate and Biden passes in a year. There is a reason Bernie Sanders keeps losing.
