Well it is abundantly clear that what this team needs at this very moment is perimeter D, and our FO didn't do jackshit about it

How about “how would that guy have been valued by the rest of the league both today and in 12/24/36 months? AND could they be of value to our team as well?”

We seem to never look at players as assets that bring value beyond what our team needs at that very moment.

You think we are paying a pick to get off Derrick White or Josh Hart?

Don't forget they cut Jeff Green when they signed him as well.

They might. They arent players I'm going to trash the team for passing on though. Neither of those guys were super high on my radar personally.

Hart is kind of meh overall. Not someone I would give up a 1st rounder for. I do really like White though and he'd be better than having Clarkson imo.
 
Shaq Harrison is still available and would probably ask for same amount of money as NWG. But why come back for work when you've been on a vacation 10min after FA started?

it's gotta be clearing space to sign extra players. barring an unlikely Conley trade, we are subject to LT no matter what. and all these extra salaries that we are paying, we can easily get the money back by selling these second round picks in the future. only reason we are giving away those second round picks now has gotta be for us to create room to sign extra player
