it's gotta be clearing space to sign extra players. barring an unlikely Conley trade, we are subject to LT no matter what. and all these extra salaries that we are paying, we can easily get the money back by selling these second round picks in the future. only reason we are giving away those second round picks now has gotta be for us to create room to sign extra player

So according to sportstrac the guarnatee date on NWG is 2/27/2021.

I think they are like 300k away from getting under the LT? So they just keep NWG on for now, and cut him mid-season then rotate a bunch of 10-day contracts for the rest of the season?
