NFL Talk

Just have to make sure you have good pass protection I guess. That is an actual must to have a good passing attack.

In the NFL it is really rare to have a lot of plays in which the QB simply drops back and scans the field. They need to be able to move and they need to be able to take a hit. Moore doesn't have escapability and is so little it'd be like me tackling my wife. He will get smushed in the pro's.

It's not that rare at all. There are plenty of NFL QB's who don't scramble (or only do so if absolutely necessary).

Peyton Manning does exactly that on every pass attempt. I don't think that guy has ever had positive yard rushing attempt in his career.

Hey Catratcho, normally I'd be getting pumped up for this Monday night meeting but I'll be honest the way the season has started and the injuries and the bye week, this season is already starting to lose it's luster.
I know your team has had much higher expectations and is a Romo melt down away from being 1-4, so hows your attitude towards your team. I know it's gotta be higher then mine but still pretty disappointed I'd imagine.

You are missing the point, or I wasn't clear. In order to avoid an NFL rush the QB has to either have elite skills reading the D pre snap and get his protections set up properly (Manning) or have the slipperiness to buy himself some more time (Roethlesburger). It's not about running for positive yards. Moore is going to get his *** handed to him while he learns to read NFL defenses(assuming he ever does), just like Manning did. Because he's so little the odds of him surviving the process are lower than a bigger guy.

That's why he's not a 1st round prospect, along with the height thing. I kind of doubt he's 6'1". Give Moore 30 lbs and 4 inches and he's a #1.

Oh, and for the poster who wanted info on Greg Little for his fantasy team, Little is now officially the Brown's #1 WR. He will be getting a lot more targets from here on out.

My excitement level was sky high...for two weeks. The next two weeks it was considerably lower. After last weekend's loss to NE, the feelings have improved, since we played them pretty well. I am extremely disappointed in the defense thus far. I keep telling myself the Jets are a stronger team in the second half of the season and entering the playoffs.

I dropped him a couple of weeks ago for Victor Cruz.

If Colt McCoy would attempt to pass the ball more than 4 yards once in a while I'd be inclined to pick him back up.

I was checking out the schedule and I noticed later on this season The Jets play New England at home on a Sunday night and then have to travel to Denver for a Thursday game.

With the travel day the Jets essentially get two days off before their next game. That sucks.

Good thing the Broncos suck, especially if they trade Brandon Lloyd.
