Well, he's about to have a few of them and probably become a felon.

This guy? No. I want him treated just like any other criminal.

You seem to be fine with him being treated worse than other criminals.

And I don’t think the point of view he expresses is going away anytime soon. (BTW, he has become one of those arrested for the Jan. 6th insurrection). But I think he did a decent job of describing a belief that preceded Trump, and that will survive Trump. I think it’s a belief system that babe would be very comfortable with. I am certain that there were many beliefs floating around within the Jan. 6th mob. Not a monolithic block of thought, or people, though the cult of Trump, and the cult of QAnon dominated. But I do believe we will have an insurgency on our hands, because what happened is likely seen as a success to guys like this. And, really, I think Snyder is just warning us that a more competent populist may be our future. One reason why the instigators in Congress and the mob must be held to account, and pay a heavy price.

Last night a couple older folks at my work, sitting at different tables than each other, had a conversation loud enough for anyone in the break room to hear. I'll refer to them as Q Female "QF" and T Male "TM"...

QF: "I just feel bad for the children." Seeming to refer to the children being abducted, sexually assaulted and killed by liberals, AKA the QAnon conspiracy.
TM: "Yeah, I do too" Said somberly
QF: "We need to have a revolution"
TM: "Oh, I think there is gonna be 'unrest'"

They continued to gripe along those lines but I turned my audio book up and tried to stop listening.

A while back l listened to a podcast with the creator of 8chan Fred Brennan. At the time 8chan was the place for these "Q drops"

Based on his knowledge of how the board operated, Brennan said the "Q" login was controlled and Q posts were disseminated by the owner of the board, a guy named Jim Watkins.

And how did Watkins get his start on the internet - he ran "barely legal" Asian porn sites out of The Philippines in the 90s.

I swear the entire Trump movement is one giant projection.

This whole eruption of irrational beliefs keeps telling me this is why we’re a flawed species. Animals don’t get themselves in trouble by thinking too much. This seems like a mental illness, infecting lots of people, like a conspiracy pandemic.
