The way I see it, the Jazz are going to do every move they can on the fringes to get under the tax, which is a valid use of resources as long as they stay on the fringes and don’t require moving draft capital to accomplish. That means that they’re not grabbing anyone on this market.
For that reason, I prefer that they can’t get below the tax and realize that early enough that they pivot and do strengthen the roster. Because I really think this is the year of all years. Ever. Those moves on the fringes can make a meaningful difference.
