Favors and Burks are the future of the Utah Jazz

I think any great coach has to build the offensive around the strengths and talent of the team. If Burks can be effective in iso plays than why not run a few iso plays. i know i have said this over and over again but hear me again when i say burks is going to suprise a lot of people!

If alec burks ends up being worse than almond then i will voluntarily leave jazzfanz and never come back just to placte everyone for my utter stupidity! Alec Burks is so much, even worlds, better than Almond; he's a special player and special players don't come around every draft!!!!!

If Burks ends up as good as Magette that would be a great thing. Borderline all-star. Go-to player who can create his own shot. Remember, he can have the same skills and abilities without the attitude. If he becomes better than Magette then we have a wet-dream in the making.

Lets not get ahead of ourselves here. Almond, physically and athletically, was a clone of Burks coming out of college. He also had three point range which Burks has not shown yet. Defensively Almond was bad and that's the same negative strike scouts give Burks as well. I think Burks will be better obviously, it's the homer in all of us, history proves all rookies have a high bust percentage. Temper expectations.

Only, again, it's not true. The commonly held belief that Millsap breaks down over the course of an 82 game season should have been put to rest after last season (and the previous season's playoffs). Yes, the year he started with Boozer out, he broke down over time, but he was playing through multiple injuries. Last season he was amazingly consistent from start to finish.

Naturally I'll be rooting for the guy; but I have yet to see one thing about this kid to be overly excited about. Yeah, he talks up a good game and maybe he'll back it up. But to me his size, make-up, range and stats are eeriely similar to Quincy Lewis.

I'll be thrilled if this guy makes a solid contribution but my expectations are pretty low.

Ding, ding. Millsap held up by not doing the dirty work that made him so effective. He "became" to big for that. Millsap can't be the Millsap we all love and last an 82 game schedule.

No offense, but you can take most scout write ups and throw them in the trash, they do not apply to NBA ball. The size and speed difference makes most players completely change their game to survive in the NBA.

Basketball IQ is very advanced, understands the games nuances Despite his scoring mentality, Almond remains unselfish as he continually looks for open teammates Moves extremely well without the ball, usually gets open by working of screens and picks When slashing to the basket, he has no problem converting due to his body control and strength

He was extremely selfish, did not have IQ at all to pass the ball, and couldn't finish at the rim for the life of him.
