Another Murder by Police in Pasquotank County, North Carolina

I'd like to know which crimes people flee the most from? Random traffic stops? Weed? Domestic violence disputes?

Maybe some of the most frequent crimes people flee from shouldn't be crimes anymore, like having a small bag of weed?

Seems like anytime they already have an outstanding warrant has a higher likelihood of fleeing. Which makes sense. But that falls on the said person to deal with the warrant beforehand so I'm not sure how that is fixed.

The problem is that we really don't know what happened because a judge ruled they don't have to release video. How did the NYT get this information? We won't know for sure what happened until we see the video.
That's quite the change of position from your earlier declaration.

"Nevertheless, they shot him in the back of the head. No, he never threatened them; he never even looked back at them. Nevertheless, they executed him."

Taking a reasonable approach like Beer and One Brow will help you to not look like a rash clown in the future.

This poster sucks.

None the less, he's kinda right. We need body cam footage, why so many people were there just to serve a warrant, and a bundle of other data. At this point I feel like leave with pay is acceptable until the SBI and FBI study the footage.

Assuming we need to look into prosecution we need to identify which gun fired the killing blow.

If it adds up, he(or she) is entitled to their day in court. A jury of Derek Chauvin's peers decided he was a murderer. It's an educated jury that gets to decide that, not some *******s posting on the best NBA fan forum in the world(Thanks @Jason)

I was basing that on what the family said, and they did see a small portion of the video. But as we all agree, we need to see all the video(s). Also, I reported this before the judge decided against releasing the video. I think the state attorney-general or the Governor should step in and overrule the judge. It makes the police look bad when they refuse to release the video.

I disagree with overruling judges that are making rulings fully within their authority. Absolutely opposed to doing it for political purposes or really any purpose unless that particular judge is acting in a clearly unethical, illegal or inappropriate way.

So, how do you know the judge is not doing it for political purposes or acting unethically. Just because what he is doing is legal doesn't mean it's ethical.

I used the word "clearly"...

Do we need a user named "read4you" to step in?

Do you really think it's not clear that the judge was not acting ethically after watching the more recent videos? He was covering up for the police, just like the prosecutor. I don't understand why the Governor or State AG can't step in and overrule the judge. In any case, the FBI has started an investigation. There's no doubt that the police need to be charged. They shot the guy in the back of the head when he was moving away from them and was no threat to their lives.

I haven't seen the more recent videos...

But that's not what's interesting to me about this post.

You're seriously asking if I "really think" something is not clear because after I said that some new videos came out. Videos that were NOT out when I wrote that. Videos I haven't seen. I was never all that knowledgeable about the particular case you're talking about. I was speaking in general terms.

So listen carefully and/or get someone to read4you.

I don't think that when judges makes rulings that are in their authority to make, that political bodies should be overturning those rulings unless there is clear evidence of misconduct.

If in this case you're worked up about there is clear evidence of misconduct then go ahead and read my statement again (or have an adult read it for you).

Okay, that out of the way. I haven't seen the new videos. But as they were described it sounded to me like deadly force was justified.

Listen, GF, the judge I'm sure saw the damn videos. The family had seen a snippet. We knew he got shot in the back of the head. It was not in the best interests of justice not to release them just because there's a law that says he can. To me it's blatantly obvious he was doing something unethical. And I reported you for constantly harassing me.

By responding to you?

Okay that's cool, I'll just throw you on the ignore list. lol

Deadly force is only justified if the life of the law enforcement officer is in danger. In this case, he got shot in the back of the head and they were not in danger when they shot him.

Also justified if they feel that the person is an immediate threat to bystanders or the general public.

That's one of his (I assume it's he, I haven't actually check their gender) favorite tactics, saying someone is harassing him and then reporting them. Or saying he's reporting them. I never heard anything when he"reported" me.

I never reported you. I'm so sick of all the bs I encounter here just for voicing my opinions. I would say the only person I have insulted on here is Babe, whose fawning support of Trump was very upsetting to me. I'm seriously considering to stop posting here and just read the news. It's not worth constantly having to defend myself and being falsely accused of things I never did. It happened in the past, as well. I would try to make light of it, but it continues. I need to make better use of my time.
