Conley hamstringing again

To me, this game and game 3 are the big momentum games. Win tonight and set the series tone. Lose tonight but win games 2 and 3 and you put doubt into the Clippers heads. Especially if we hold out Conley the first 3 games.

Depends. If the Jazz win both games one and two, game three is huge for the Clippers but not so much the Jazz.

You're right, though, if the Jazz split the first two games, game three is huge.

I think we win in 7 because Conley isn’t healthy...if Conley doesn’t come back during the playoffs do we sign him for next year?? Great players hold limited value if they can’t play in the playoffs.

I just hope we don’t lose a series due to this injury. Feel bad for the guy he was playing with fire.

I'm hoping he's in better condition than we know. We should let him rest if we can afford it. I think we can afford it.

well, unless we need him....... Looking to see him suit up and warn up, then sit on the bench some.

How does one go from questionable to doubtful?

He's questionable - not doubtful. Although my guess is - he won't play. Especially since we won Game 1.
His hamstring will get better once we lose a game. With injuries like this I don’t think they have a great read on risk of reinjury until they give it a full go. At some point he will want to dive in and try it.

So apparently Bojan and Royce do a great job on Kawhi and George Paul, so maybe there are some benefits to not starting Mike (I did not say the benefits outweigh detriments).

All things considered, I think it makes a ton of sense to have Conley strictly spell Mitchell whenever they decide they want to test Mike on the floor.

I don’t have much hope that Conley will be able to last through the playoffs without getting sat (if we’re relying on him heavily as a rule). I’d much rather find a middle-road that keeps Mike healthy.
