****! Foster likes being the villain so the home crowd booing the **** out of him feeds him. He also allows a lot of contact which might mean they can dig in on us a little more. Maybe he lets Royce and Rudy play a bit more likely physical. We don’t have floppers so it may not bother us.

Kane is wonky as hell so I guess it’s better. With Kane I think there is a 50/50 shot that you get a great whistle... the downside is you may get a horrendous one.

With Kane, there is a foul call every 45 seconds. He just destroys team ball and momentum. If I am the less skilled team I want that. I think the overall Jazz team is more skilled than the Clippers, so I want no part of that.

There is a difference between flexibility and wishy washy panic... not sure if Lue is one or the other... but yes I think getting smoked while small means they may move to panic mode. Quin did some good stuff bringing multiple screeners at the same time to confuse the switching and I think he may be a couple steps ahead of Lue.

Kawhi has to be the Man for them to win... hopefully we can contain him.

This. It’s as close to a knock-out punch as you can get so early in the series. It’s all mental after that, and they didn’t have the fortitude. All the pressure is off us because I don’t think we’d have any pressure to win in LA, and they’re 1-3 in that empty stadium as is.

He just also makes weird *** calls... like I’m just not sure what he is thinking. In general I think if you know the officials name right off the bat and have an opinion about him that it’s probably not good.

I don't think Lue actually does much of the gruntwork when it comes to studying opponents, reviewing film, or putting together gameplans. Kenny Atkinson and other guys on his staff do all that. He's had some quotes in the aftermath of Game 1 that, quite frankly, reveal an embarrassing lack of knowledge about the Jazz.

His job is more to create a good locker room culture.

Not having that secret sauce could really send them in a tailspin. Would also be great for Rudy. All the talk of teams just going small in the playoffs and playing him off the court would go away.

Maybe... I think he decides starting lineups though... he approves the gameplan I’m sure.

The assistants have no reason to really push him hard one way unless they feel really really strongly about it. If they push and it doesn’t work it falls on them... if they present options and Lue makes the call then they don’t catch that judgement.

I’d guess they open small and hopefully we burn them.

Honestly, I think Rudy good have 5 DPOY's 3 rings, and an MVP and some moron sportswriter from Philly would still be shouting that Gobert was "always played off the floor" during his Hall of Fame induction ceremony. Those who know, know, the rest aren't worth it.
