So Niang contributed 2 fouls, 3 turnovers and zero points.
And now I'm convinced you didn't read Locke's tweet correctly.Weren’t you the one who posted Spence Checkettes claim after game 2 that Snyder was “dog walking” Lue?
How has Niang been good at all this series? It's a horrible matchup for him.Niang was horrible tonight. No way to sugarcoat it.
But he has been very good all season long and has been in the rotation while we claimed the best record in the league, beat the grizzlies 4-1 and got up 2-0 vs the clippers.
I think he deserves to be in the rotation and the next time he gets a pass for a look at a three I hope he shoots it and I would bet he makes it

How so? Our inability to defend the Clippers isn’t at least impacted by Lue’s coaching? And now I'm convinced you didn't read Locke's tweet correctly.
So much this. If we end up losing this series it will be in large part due to our lack of bench production. There just aren’t many playoff teams around right now that get zero off their bench. Yes, Clarkson is awesome. But we need more from the bench. Favors was given the MLE, he needs to give us more than 4 pts in a series.Favors has 4 points in this entire series, Niang has 3, Oni hasn't scored. Outside of Clarkson the bench has given us nothing.
He was bad. Really bad - like not NBA caliber level bad. Had I not known him as a player beforehand, he'd be on the Aleksader Randojevic level. He essentially airballed a 3, then committed two turnovers where he genuinely looked scared to be holding the ball, then just fouled a few times because it seemed like he. forgot how basketball worked. Props to Quinn for pulling him very quickly. Between Oni and Forrest and maybe Morgan, there has to be a guy who is at least a net zero on the team as opposed to a net -6.How has Niang been good at all this series? Snyder needs to realize this and bench his *** for the rest of the series. Make some adjustments Quin! Oni and Niang aren't cutting it.
Forest might be able to create a shot, which is what we need. true, he might not have much range but at least he has speed. Wish we had developed Hughes a little more, having a dude that could shoot would be nice. Im not sure what the point of Thomas, Brantley, Oni, and Morgan are. Wish we had gone after someone like Seth curry last offseason or brought in Rivers. He was bad. Really bad - like not NBA caliber level bad. But it was 100% goal tending...Coach Q should have done a coach’s challenge on Favors’ goal tending call. If successful, it would have pulled the game within 8 and given the Jazz a legit chance to make a final push. It would have also given Mitchell an extra couple of minutes to get the ankle treated and get back in. I get that the challenge is still pretty new but Q seems to pick bad times to use it or not use it.

You can’t have it both ways, posting tweets from Spence claiming that Snyder is out coaching Lue after game 2, then posting tweets from Locke talking about how the Clippers offense is killing it. Perhaps Lue and the Clippers have found some defensive holes to exploit?
If you didn’t post Checkettes tweet you could’ve said so. Looks like it was someone else, I just checked. To me, the coaching in this series has actually been pretty balanced. However, I really like the changes Lue has made and the weaknesses he’s exploiting make me very nervous.
I was always under the impression that the ball has to be more than half-way out of the cylinder, which it was. Maybe that’s not the rule, but that’s how it’s been called since always. But it was 100% goal tending...
And Quin doesn't have an instant replay monitor on the sideline.
Yeah, refs would have totally overturned themselves... Happens all the time.I was always under the impression that the ball has to be more than half-way out of the cylinder, which it was. Maybe that’s not the rule, but that’s how it’s been called since always.
I’m asking more if that’s correct on the rule. But in any case, I’m not sure if that’s a call that can be challenged. Maybe it can. But it’s much less subjective than a contact review.Yeah, refs would have totally overturned themselves... Happens all the time.
I think that if the ball is still on the rim they call it a goaltend, but I'm honestly not sure.I’m asking more if that’s correct on the rule. But in any case, I’m not sure if that’s a call that can be challenged. Maybe it can. But it’s much less subjective than a contact review.
