A long time ago, oh almost 50 years I bet, my first wife was an LDS Church employee, and I was studying Russian Literature. About the same time I read some "socialist realism" works produced under Russian censorship, I was reading the LDS magazines.
The fact is, the LDS Church was hiring Madison Avenue public relations/salesmen to re-do Mormon doctrine.
Amazing how "Socialist Realism" compared to the modern, revised "Mormon Magazine" layout.
Whenever you have a determined advocacy/apologist outfit working on a line of crap....... "Truth" they always call it, you are beyond help if you believe it, or advocate it.
A lot of Marxists attack Christianity for every possible logical or historical problem, and the fact it, it was produced under the same kind of lens as Marxism. A sort of pious ideology that was supposed to be believable. The more the advocates labor to make the case, the deeper they sink into their own quicksand of logic, like Red and OB. Nice people, but lost damned souls.
If you actually look at what Christ is supposed to have said, he was mostly anti-establishment, anti-official. He didn't expect guvmint to ever be "good" , nor even Churches.
He believed and taught personal responsibility to question authority, seek understanding, and live by your direct beliefs the best you knew. He did not have a simple formula everyone could just wear like a badge, or mark" good" on a report card.
The reason God has never been willing to give us absolute truth is because we would just use it to kill one another.
Some of the folks in here are so deep in their "Truth" they have no tolerance for others.
When you lose tolerance, you've really "lost it".
