Jazz Offseason Plan

I don't really see SAC as a Favors destination. They weren't giving Whiteside minutes and I actually think he's a better player than Favors.

Locke seems to think that they might let Richaun Holmes go and then would be interested in Favors as their starting center.

They are limited in how much they can give Holmes because they don’t have full bird rights. So it’s kinda out of their control… they are definitely on the short list of teams that should consider him.

Well if there's an argument for Favors vs. Whiteside it's that Favors isn't a renowned knucklehead and I think the Kings should prioritize that at some point.

The argument against Favors is that he stinks, like Whiteside. Can't see a team wanting to pay him $20M over the next two seasons.

He looks toast, but as a buyout candidate absolutely yes. Let him rehab and get all the load management that he wants and needs. If he's just a stanchion that hits threes and throws crisp passes he'd be useful.
If we trade Favors in a cash cutting move, I would be fine giving Love more than the minimum to come here. We aren't going to be able to compete with just the minimum. He would go to LA, Brooklyn or elsewhere for that.

His minimum is about $2 million. The BAE is $3.7. I would consider the full BAE for him. It's what we should have done for Batum.
