Jazz Offseason Plan

I would bet Mikes price for sure is between $20-25 mill a year.

Yes… I think the only difference is Kyle has a ring so he may be more likely to take the best money even if it’s from a non contender. I think a bunch of players will leverage NY’s cap space… he’s one I could actually see signing there.

If the Jazz are willing to pay $20-25 million Mikes not going somewhere to take $10 or something.

Even if he goes to a contender Joe likely would be pissed. His non-basketball life stuff makes it tough to move around… unless it’s an absolute haul (which I don’t see happening) to trade him for some cap flexibility and a pick is a ****** move on so many levels.

The Jazz trading him would really suck not matter what but if they do it just to shed salary...that would be an impossible pill to swallow.

I like Joe, but honestly if he isn't starting then he doesn't play very well.

I don’t think an Ingles trade is in the cards. My suspicion is that he is being discussed because he is the most coveted player from other teams. If the motivation is saving on tax, Ingles isn’t the right guy.

If the Jazz are making moves around the cap, it would make more sense to move from Bogdanovic who has higher salary and more years or Favors because he’s not that useful.

My problem with trading Ingles (at least in a vacuum) is that we need to get more versatile, not less. And Ingles is swiss army knife type guy that can do a lot of things pretty well and a few things at an elite level. The sentimental side of me also wants to see him retire in a Jazz uniform.

I’d much rather move Bogey if there’s something there.

This is in a vacuum. I obviously don’t have all the information, but I assume there is a good reason for Ingles being the one being discussed. Maybe we know he is retiring next year? Maybe his kids need specialty autism treatment that only a bigger city can offer and he’s let the FO know? I have no idea.

I just saw on the interwebs a rumor of Bogey to the Knicks for Kevin Knox (woof) and the No 19 and 32 picks.

I’m all for giving up pieces if we get the right return ..

We need to get more athletic, someone who can play inside and out at the PF

I keep going back to Jeremy Grant , or that sort of player .

I dunno why we are so keen to get Conley back ?

What's the mechanism you propose for getting Grant? (Hint: dropping Conley won't help)

Because not bringing him back won’t get you that guy.
