Isn't it up to the parents to provide the required protection? Isn't life anyway misery forever for both the parents and the kid (due the myriad of other health issues because of the immunocompromisation?) even if every other person who is going to be close is vaccinated :-(. Should we all wear masks even at the seaside beach (like it was in Spain for some period) until that time arrives? In a grand scheme of things the 4,5 million COVID deaths is pretty tiny number when compared to the total population. Of course, on a personal level, every death is a tragedy no matter whether the age is 1, 10 or 100 years no matter what was the reason. I disagree with you with the point that world should be closed until the virus is eradicted; i find that very unlikely, that we have a COVID zero situation in the near future. And at the same time everybody forgets quite fast the death of kids because of traffic accidents, drowning, violence by other people etc etc. because, well, only COVID deaths are worth the media hype :-(.
And to clarify, of course i am kind of tired-annoyed of the typical snakeoil-crystalball-sales(wo)man-at-least-one-BillGates-related-vaccine nonsense post-per-day kind of persons. We have a fair share of them in Estonia, too.
