Protestors storm capital

Always amazing selective thinking. After years of whining over your opponents' election nobody is supposed to complain when your man wins.

I'm too lazy to find a pic of a sleeping oldster snoring at a world summit supposed to save the world and painting a bold label "President Fraud" over it.
There's a pretty big difference between not liking that a person got elected and claiming that the person who got elected didn't actually get elected.

I know Republicans tried to paint impeachment for valid reasons as an attempt to "overturn" an election, but that's not what impeachment is. Impeachment doesn't take one candidate out of an elected office and install their competitor in their place. It removes from office a person who has violated their duty, which Trump did big and small many many times.

And babe, I'm not a Biden fan. He was my choice in a Trump or Biden election, but I never expected him to save the world or even be an above average U.S. President. But I'm still more than happy to have him in the White House over having Trump there.

I said in another thread I think the best thing that could happen for 2024 is for Biden to die of natural causes and bonus points if the same happens to Trump.

So the logic here is still missing the point that was the basis of the whole Russia/Trump thing. You know a lot of Hillary folks went to whole damn boatload of investigations and that the allegation was election tampering. It was all hands on deck to derail Trump from doing the stuff the Hillary/Obama/whoever wanted to stop. In my view, that's not significantly different from trying to overthrow the government/election results in a system where supposedly the public gets to make the choice. And there were plenty of dems wanting the electoral college to turn in votes other than what the vote count called for in 2016.

So you can dance around this all you want.

Next time you get logical, try to get all the facts in the picture.

It is entirely different than trying to overthrow election results. Not even in the same universe.

I've got the facts in the picture. Your point is... I'll be polite and call it silly.

We know your opinion on this already.

You're shamelessly denying years of JazzFanz community discussions about why Trump is so bad he just has to be met with resistance.

This comparison of Biden and Trump is pretty much a mirror image discussion of the difference between good and evil between those who call good evil and those who call evil good.

cows generally do not have discussions like this. I mean, sure, they have differences in opinion about who should get their nose in the hay or water trough first, and there's a lot of push and shove around other essential life issues. But no ideological pie in the sky beliefs about a better world.

People who believe ideological dreams are willing to live in abstractions, pretty much. Ideological beliefs are basically religious theories. Let's say "conspiracy theories".

But nobody really important is really ideological. The real power players use rhetoric or ideology for manipulative purposes, to try to corral the simpletons and fools who'll buy their loads.

My point was that all the dem complaints about what the rubes (Reps) did in 2020, they did themselves in 2016. And in 2000 and 2004. So it's a lost argument now.

But go ahead, prattle on about Trump.

I think reasonable people should have concerns about Trump or anyone else. My general idea is that government has too much power, and if we cut it back a whole lot, there'd be less trouble in this world.

I'd really like to see a chat site where people talked about stuff in a different manner than just piling on to dominate the space.

“If he thinks that they’re going to go back to the old ways of policing, then we are going to take to the streets again. There will be riots, there will be fire and there will be bloodshed because we believe in defending our people,” Newsome told the New York Daily News after the meeting.

Sounds like an accurate prediction. Do you disagree?

So BLM is openly saying they are going to spill blood If they don't get their way and not a SINGLE ONE of you terrorist sympathizers are going to denounce a threat of terrorism by definition?

Lol you hypocrites don't give a f about Jan 6th besides to get your psychotic Trump addiction fix. I have no problem calling those who violently stormed the Capitol (not Capital you illiterates) and the terrorist FBI agents who initiated it scum bag terrorist.

terrorism-
the unlawful use of violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims.

BLM and I quote

"There will be riots, there will be fire and there will be bloodshed"

Truly a moron

BLM leader threatens ‘riots, fire, bloodshed’ in NYC if Eric Adams gets tough on crime

"If they think they are going back to the old ways of policing then we’re going to take to the streets again,” New York BLM co-founder Hawk Newsome said outside Borough Hall after the meeting.

"There will be riots. There will be fire, and there will be bloodshed,” he threatened.

This seems concerning:

And a few thought provoking stories:

We are seeing democratic values erode. The right is threatening to burn books and shoot people they disagree with. I don’t know the answers to these problems, but a democracy cannot be sustained when 30ish percent of the population lives in an alt reality and wants to kill the other 70 percent.

Pay wall for the first one. Interesting stuff nonetheless.

FWIW I am not against requiring an ID to vote. Should be pretty standard practice. But with that they need to make getting one insanely easy at the state level, so no one can say they were disadvantaged by not having an ID available to them. Or a social security card. If you don't have a social security number you can't vote. But other than that I think voting needs to be made easy and accessible for everyone.

I didn’t run into a paywall, but the second article covered the bases….

Well, I mean, its just common sense. If you think a vote is fraudulent then of course you have to hang the vice president. Its common sense duh.
