Pacers Making Play at Millsap?

For sure. He had a great rookie season in a PG centric offense, but still managed to put up respectable numbers for a 2nd year player in a less PG friendly offense. Don't really know anything about him defensively though.

Can't we get a better PG in the draft? Collison is a bit undersized and seems like a defensive liability.

Collison has the potential to maybe, MAYBE, break into the top half of PGs in the league in the next two years.

Paul
Rose
Williams
Rondo
Nash
Kidd
Westbrook
Lawson
Wall
Harris
Miller
Conley
Billups
Parker
Curry

Those guys are easily better players. Other guys likely to be better are Hinrich, Holiday, Nelson, Jennings, Davis, Augustin, Felton.

Then you have Collison competing against the Udrihs and Teagues of the NBA. And I didn't even mention the rookie PGs and ones yet to be drafted.

I'd avoid Collison.

Ahhh, a voice of sanity.

Why is Millsap at the 4 a much better fit than Al at the 4 for the Pacers?

Hibbert is slow and lumbering just like Al. It would be too easy to run on them. There offensive games are redundant as well, both are generally iso post up players.

He is 6' tall. I don't really think having a PG who is 6'3 is that huge of an advantage. Defensively, I'm not aware of his reputation. PG's who are good defenders don't really impact the game that much.

Collison, Psycho T, and James Posey for Millsap and Bell.

Collison = Back-up PG/Future starter
Psycho T = Back-up PF/Favors and Jefferson starters/Plays role that Big Dawg carr did
Posey = Veteran/ Fills SF loss of AK47/ Expiring contract

I know that I am going to get some neg rep for this but this is the list of players to go in order:

Jefferson
Jefferson
Jefferson
Bell
Miles
Harris

You mean the guy who averaged 24 and 11 with 2 blocks during the last third of last season and was our only go-to player, while having games where he outplayed Dwight Howard and Pau Gasol? You mean that Jefferson?

Miles could be trade bait. Bell is neither here nor there.

Indiana is our ideal trading partner, by far. Would be shocked if either Sap or Al didn't end up there by years end. They probably covet Millsap more, he is a much better fit next to Hibbert, and they can live with him being undersized at the 4 because Hibbert is a 7'2" shot blocker.

As MDAV28 said, George is probably untouchable unless we throw in the GS pick. No way right? So that leaves Granger and whatever throw ins KOC can fleece out of them. If Bird wants Paul over Al I'm definitely making him pay a hefty price that includes either Collison or a future pick. And I'm pretty sure KOC could get that out of him.

And that makes them terrible trade partners- they aren't willing to give up anything we want. So we look for someone else or try to work a 3 team trade.

Yep, also known as tht black hole that played for the Jazz.

The three potential lottery PG's (Teague, Kabongo, Marshall) all have A LOT of question marks at this point.

I'd take Kabongo at least over Collison... Collison got crushed in the Bulls series last spring. Yes, Derrick Rose was unguardable last year, but Collison wasn't much of a factor in those games. I doubt he'd pull many minutes away from Devin Harris. There's a reason the Pacers would be willing to move him, assuming they are. They need a PG too and really only have George Hill, who is also a back-up.

No thanks to Granger and Hibbert. Any deal with Indiana involving Jefferson/Millsap would have to land the Jazz George+.
