Added to Calendar: 11-22-21

grizz doesnt have a lot of top caliber talent but they hussle and work really hard like its their last game or else be traded tomorrow.

maybe we should apply the same thing here. work hard, hussle or we send you to Zimbabwe team

I guess they called it on Rudy. When reviewed clearly not Rudy touching the ball, they had to change.
Anyways that was poor officiating. But we lost because we were soft and had an awful shot selection and dumb turnovers to close the game. DM has to either take care of the ball or shot like an average basketball player, screwing both makes it hard to win anyways.
Yeah I wonder how many TOs they gave to DM, because I saw like 3 in the last 5 minutes of the game alone. He kept forcing his way into traffic and dribbling off himself or getting stuck.

This team desperately needs to work on taking care of the ball. Many of our turnovers are just being dumb, nothing the defense is doing. Dribbling off our own foot, telegraphing the most obvious passes then just lobbing them right to the other team, **** like that. If they figured out how to stop that we would be one of the lowest TO teams in the league.

One other thing, why do we stop moving the ball? When we have the "blender" going we are very very hard to stop. So when we really need a score naturally...we hand the ball to DM or Conley and have them drive into the teeth of the defense hoping to kick it to a shooter, instead of doing what gets us the lead in the first place. It is ridiculous, and terrible coaching IMO. You have a team that can move the ball well and has one of the best, if not the best, screeners in the game, and excellent shooters, but let's not go to that strength, let's just have DM put his head down and try to "create" something out of nothing. So frustrating to watch.

They should make it like football and let the Jazz accept/decline the penalty. When they announce they are going to review, the Jazz just say, "Nah, we good. Play on."
At the very least they need to look at where the play ended up when they called it dead and if the review determines it was "inadvertent" then give possession to whoever had it when the play was stopped. The Jazz had secured the rebound and had possession. So the inadvertent whistle should not negate that. That is utter ********.

When DM is having one of those 5-20 games, why not let Butler, Oni or Hughes have his minutes? I doubt they would stink as badly.
Frankly, we did a lot of our damage and built our lead with DM on the bench.

this.

It's possible to have multiple good rebounders in your lineup. what an amazing discovery
The thing that really frustrates me about this is that rebounding isn't about some mystical magical ability granted by the wood fairies as part of a sacrificial ritual, it is just work. Plain and simple, get your *** into the paint, box the guy out, and go hard for the ball. It is fully 80%+ effort. The other 20% is of course size and natural ability. But I was part of a team in high school who was at a size disadvantage in most games, but we almost always outrebounded the opponent because we all crashed the boards, everyone. Our coach drilled that into us. Get the ball. He made it clear you can't win if you don't have the ball. And his mantra was that rebounding was 90% effort. I watched our shortest guy at 5'7" get a rebound away from a dude who was about 6'8" with others that big in the vicinity, with effort and hustle. We just do not have any semblance of effort or hustle.

But can we bitch about everything on the floor rather than try harder? You bet!

What I've been saying for two years now.

Con - Don - and Royce will not get it done.

Too small, and Royce is ridiculously overrated by jazz fans.
I don't think Royce is overrated by Jazz fans, he is overrated by the Jazz media and the Jazz org in general, and frankly by the NBA media in general. I remember one national game this year one of the NBA announcers talked about Royce as a defensive stopper, and right after that Royce's guy just blew right by him and went up over him because Royce was giving up 4 inches on the guy, and he got the layup. That was pretty poignant.

We don’t need to make any changes. We just need to trust the system. Something like that.

Because butler doesn’t play defense… or he turns the ball over… it misses shots… or sucks.

So basically doing the same thing mitchell and Clarkson (especially) have been doing. But that’s okay, cuz… reasons.

Butler sucks and it's been proven in his time here. We need someone who can lead their team to a championship.

Jaren Jackson and Ja aren't elite talents?

Bane, Brooks, and Anderson aren't solid talents?

Even Adams is probably an upgrade over Jonas.

Furious. ****ing refs ruined the game. I hate blaming the game on refs, but they absolutely ****ed the Jazz on a totally bogus call. ****ing amatuers.

We lost because we had twice as many turnovers as the Grizz... and Mitchell sucked.
It is very simple.Dm and jc taking about 45 shoots per game few less or more.when one of them is cold it is close game when both are It is lost game. As everyone can notice we got alot less asist per game aswell . What we can do with no roster change ? I woud use joe as we used minivan before, put him in corner and play him like 15 to 17 min till PO. Cut jc ussage ro 12to 15 per game couse atm he is hurting team atm. When game is close give mike to run game not DM for god sake he simple don't have this yet. Also some line ups looking rly wird but this is even longer story... And refs are even longer one ...

The NBA is not your HS basketball team.

Rebounding is a skill. Effort/Focus on the boards is a skill. You cant just teach NBA vets to suddenly become skilled in a part of the game that doesnt come naturally to them.
