Who is Johnson and for god sake I’d rather develop both Hughes and Oni then trade for Dunn. What’s the point? He’s not seeing time in this rotation.

Very true.

Also, since I'll be logging off here for awhile. I just wanted to get back to my main point, which wasn't necessarily Conley vs Brogdon. My main point is that I don't think Brogdon is a good enough defender to make up for the difference in how bad Mitchell plays.

If we are going to be a significantly better team defensively, then Donovan has to step up.

Brogdon is regarded as a good defender probably because of his Bucks years and he has good size but when I watched Indy last season, he was atrocious. He would clearly make us worse defensively. Conley's size doesn't help him but at least he stays front and knows where to be.

The fact that Dunn hasn’t been signed in this massive rash of signings is starting to be a pretty clear signal, imo

This is why you put 3 good perimeter defenders around Rudy and Don. And no, I don't believe Mike Conley is a good perimeter defender come playoff time.

We should trade Conley while he has good value. Philly is a perfect spot for Mike.

Brogdon plays with the ball in his hands a lot. It’s part of the reason he really didn’t want to go back to the Bucks… he doesn’t want to accept the Mike role. He also can’t be traded until the offseason because of his extension… so it’s kinda pointless to discuss now.
 
Also, anybody we sign is going to be someone that didn’t make it through all these signings. Unless we get someone who got a 10 day then didn’t get anything else.

Bogdanovic has been ridiculously consistent over the last 12 games, scoring between 13 and 25 points in all 12, with only one game where he registered an effective field goal percentage below 50%. For the season, he’s the only player who’s shot 40% or better on at least 100 3-point attempts and 85% or better on at least 100 free throw attempts. The Jazz got two clutch wins last week and Bogdanovic was their leading clutch scorer, draining three big 3-pointers to help put the Hornets and Mavs away.


Meanwhile Harrison Barnes was -80 over 3 games last week. FYI.

Bogie is untouchable for the rest of this season imo
