Isn't it absurd and sad at the same time, that a healthy person can't entry to Australia/Melbourne? Who would have thought/bet that in 2019? What are australians afraid of, should Novak wander in streets?

In all fairness, he sought a medical exemption because he had already cought Covid a month ago. That's too soon to get vaccinated or boostered - you're supposed to wait at least 6 weeks.

That being said... completely disagree with him and the fact that he wasn't vaccinated to begin with. So yes... you are correct. What. The. Hell. Novak.

He’s not entitled to play tennis. Playing tennis is a privilege. I’m tired of entitled pricks who think society should bend for them.

We're a country with rules and laws, they're not hidden, its a condition of entry. If you don't follow the law there are consequences, you can't pick and choose which ones you like. I hope the ****er gets deported.

2019 he would have been perfectly OK person. I guess, that even having HIV (i do not know the spefic rules about IITF whether HIV complicates anything or not) would not have been a blocking factor? Now a non-vaccinated healthy athlete is considered more dangerous than some vaccinated drug addict, somebody driving a car while little bit of drunk etc etc.
Obviously, Australia is an independent country and can and should make the rules the voters desire.

I am not disputing the statement "our country, our laws". Just the general witch-hunter-style-hysteria even among those who claim to believe science.
If it is for me dangerous to shake hands and have dinner together etc etc with Djokovic according to Australian scientists and medical specialists, then why do we wonder why there are some many snakeoil and magic crystal ball believers all over the world?
