The *OFFICIAL* Russia Is About To Invade Ukraine Thread

So, tell me, jackass, how is it that I am taking us into another war? How the f*** dare you accuse me of being a warmonger? Who the **** do you think you are? Answer me, jerk. Who the **** do you think you are accusing me of wanting war? You ******* ***hole!
Well, you are a nobody, and inconsequential in the grand schemes of international relations. I meant only to show how you are thinking right along with the current here. Our press is doing a "Remember the Maine" ruse on the American public, and trying to stir up war fever.

It's a dangerous thing for us. We don't have leadership that can carry anything to a successful outcome that will help either ourselves or Ukraine.

While we keep pushing on Putin to park NATO within a few hundred miles of Moscow, China will likely land forces on Taiwan. We'll lose more friends, and nobody will respect us.

I 100% support this post.
Who'd imagine you wouldn't.

Red lost his temper. I should report it maybe. What the hell.

It's better to leave it there and let the world see what you are.

I don't believe Putin is any kind of nice guy, or fundamentally good in his politics. I think there are likely some dead dissidents moldering in ditches here or there underneath the snow. For a while I had jhopes the comedian, Zelensky, would actually clean up some corrupt things in Ukraine. But in recent years he has refused to sit down with the separatists as the previous administration promised, saying it was something Ukraine was coerced into doing. Putin sent a number of messages to Zelensky asking him to do that. But that, in effect, would validate the separatists.

That would have been on par with, say, King George getting on a ship and going to boston after the Tea Party. If old King George had done that, and saw to it that jBritish Citizens in the Colonies had all their rights protected under the Magna Carta, there would have been no revolution.

But Zelensky and Biden are makeing the same kind mistake Kuing George made. Bowing to corporate and financial interests to exert power of weaker people around the world.

Some people in my family have Ukranian ties. A niece did her mission there. A brother documented the removal of Russian nukes. I also have ties to Formosa, or Taiwan as some want to call it. I don't want these wars.

You have to be strong to deter wars, and you can't do crap like Biden is doing. I know we have a media that's pushing us to positions that will likely trigger wars or lose ground geopolitically.

But I am a bit of an ignoramus too. And I'm not ever going to make friends of you or Red, who once said he would be shooting me when "The Resistance" gets to my camp. How much energy you have poured into just trying to discredit me or silence me.

It's a waste of your time. JazzFanz is a dying site Your efforts here seriously backfire. You lose ten to one the people you try to influence.

Well, maybe I'll go over to the sports threads for our grand playoff push. But really, how are we going to beat the Warriors or Suns.? We might be the third best team in the league. Maybe we are not quite as prone to lose our players to injuries, and maybe we have fewer players that will just freeze on the ball when it needs to be put in the basket.

Sure, you go ahead and report Red and I'll report you for a personal attack on Red that was 100% unwarranted and unfounded. I don't know that I've ever reported you, babe. If I have I have told you that I did as I do nearly every time I report any post from any poster, and especially so if I'm doing so for a post that was directed at me. But I think you were out of line and I think Red was reacting exactly like most people would, especially a person like Red who has conducted himself impeccably on these forums and who clearly cares deeply about the issues he is discussing.

Save your petty sloppy insults for me, babe.

Red is one of the most patient and reasonable members of this board. So you know you’ve crossed a line if he’s this pissed off at you @babe

Pretty true that it's hard to find an impartial or objective treatment of any subject.

Here's a new source for me:

He has an interesting article on Ukraine with an air of actual understanding. I dunno, really. I read, then I think.

The Irish are kinda famous for not just running with the English line.

A lot of rhetoric about this new move from Russia. It appears to be less of a Putin thing than a Russian thing, so not just a direct dictatorship. Dunno, really, probably wouldn't be sure what is going on if I was there and talking to everybody there. I'm kinda famous for not just running with any bunch.
What is FP mag?

Who funds it and where is it based?

I just did a Google search of four of the “journalists” on this website and couldn’t find a thing. Previous News organizations, LinkedIn profiles, or backgrounds in education. Are these people using their real names or are they a bunch of trolls? Did you do any background research to learn anything about this “News” organization?

Like does this even look credible to you? Be honest. Fellow board members, does this look like a credible news site?

Why are you getting your news and opinions from these sites when there are so many better sources of information readily available?

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday announced a “special military operation” seeking the “demilitarization and de-Nazification of Ukraine,” effectively declaring war on the country.

Immediately after his speech, media reported explosions around the cities of Kyiv, Odesa, Kharkiv and in the Donbass region. POLITICO’s Sergei Kuznetsov said: “Several huge explosions were heard in Kyiv, in the district were I’m living, a few minutes ago.”

“To anyone who would consider interfering from outside: If you do, you will face consequences greater than any you have faced in history. All the relevant decisions have been taken. I hope you hear me,” he said.

Putin added that Russia’s actions were about protecting Ukraine “from those who took Ukraine hostage.” Promising the Russian people a quick war, he said he hoped “that we can turn this tragic page as soon as possible and move forward together, not to allow anyone to interfere in our affairs.”

Dressed in what appeared to be the same blue suit and burgundy ties that he wore in his rambling speech attacking Ukrainian statehood on Monday night, Putin said: “The people’s republics of Donbass turned to Russia with a request for help … I decided to conduct a special military operation.”

He repeated false claims about aiming to protect people who have been subjected to a “genocide” by Kyiv.
“bUt NaTo!”

It’s weird, Putin isn’t talking much about NATO anymore. Why is he talking about mass genocide and Nazis? I’ve been told by some on this board that this is about NATO and America being bad and stuff.

And why is he bombing Kyiv if he only wants to “liberate” the eastern parts of Ukraine? He wouldn’t be trying to take over the entire country, would he?

I feel really bad for Ukraine. They’ve suffered so much. They really don’t deserve this.

And yet dumbasses here believe neo Nazis run Ukraine? What morons. GTFO
