How much of this is justified vs unjustified?

Much of the hate and fear we see on the right is nonsense. Qanon, election fraud, Ukrainian BioWeapons, Hunter’s laptop/Hillary’s server, and black people.

While much of the fear and hate I see directed towards republicans is justified. They have passed voting restrictions to suppress the vote and make it easier for them to maintain power. The Republican Party is comparable with other authoritarian parties in the world. Their disdain for democracy and pluralism is evident in their mantra of “MAGA.” They want to return the country to a time where “they” (white Christian dudes) ran everything. They idolize Putin and Orban. Tucker almost monthly travels to Hungary to promote Orban.

I hate Donald Trump and his 1/6 insurrections. I’m fearful that once Republicans retake congress that they’re going to end military aid to Ukraine and make it easier for them to maintain political power without actually winning elections. I’m fearful of the harm to America and the world from what a 2nd Donald trump term would be like. I’m horrified of what Speaker MTG will do. Try and end the ACA? Privatize social security? Give vouchers for those on Medicaid/Medicare?Earlier this month she spoke at a white supremacist rally that cheered Putin. Is that really comparable to the fear the right has of Biden mandating a cloth to go over my face when I enter indoor buildings during a pandemic?

Is my fear and hate towards Donald trump and this authoritarian version of republicans really comparable to the right’s fear and hate of Hunter’s laptop, Qanon, and Ukrainian BioWeapons?

I really don’t understand the hate from both sides. What did Trumps administration do that made your life worse? My business was locked down for 6 months and my source of income was taken away; the government then threw me some scraps to live off of, the same amount that was given to everyone who had a government job and still had a source of income. I don’t have hate for Trump. Since Biden came in, the SBA EDIL program has been a disaster for thousands of small businesses trying to get loans to survive. I don’t hate Biden. But both of these things have affected me but I don’t have hate or fear of the future.

Your hate and fear is nonsense. There wasn’t major conflict under Trump, but you’re fearful for the world if he is president again. MTG is not going to be speaker just like Ilhan Omar will not be. You sound like you just type all the taking points from MSNBC on here.

I hate Hitler. I don't hate the Germans. That's a big difference. As soon as the word starts being thrown around with full groups instead of individuals there is a huge problem. I was afraid of bin Laden, but as soon as we started being afraid of anyone who even remotely resembled a "Muslim" it started greatly diminishing the value we place on their lives, and that's wrong on many levels. So if you hate Donald Trump that's fine. Does it extend to those darn "repubs" as a way to diminish the humanity of the individuals? Then that's a problem. And that's a HUGE problem in the US right now.

That was my point about politics becoming religion. Those are signs of political positions becoming dogma, and faith in the One True Party becomes all-consuming.
