Beasley to Utah?

Not only can the Jazz step in, they can basically complete the deal in a 10 second phone call: "We'll take him." "Great, thanks."

As much as I'd like to be right, I would consider the Beasley for Boozer swap to be a huge success, as I've wanted that deal since before Beasley was drafted. However, I really don't see O'Connor being involved in any of these talks, despite how apologetic some of you are for him.

Please god, let it be so.

Hell with AK coming off the books as a max, and Beasley probably wanting mo'money (if he performs???) I say, next year, split the total amount of AK and Beasley's combined contracts between the two, along with considerations of Luxury tax, and lock up AK on the cheap (relatively... look at Brandon Haywood's contract) for the rest of his career. Give us a potential player to fill Boozer's shoes.

There have been rumors involving Miami + Toronto + Charlotte + Houston (obviously, this is 4 teams).

Charlotte and Houston both have 3M TPEs. It's possible that they could cut Toronto (supposedly the hold-out on the deal) out of the picture entirely.

CHarlote holds the rights to Tyrus Thomas. It has been rumoured that the jazz like Thomas--although those rumours could very well have been started by Carlos or CEce trying to force that trade.

If Riley wants to dump Beasley, I don't see him working too gracefully with Sloan. Isn't he kind of a free-lancer? With Sloan, Beasley would have a reserved seat on our bench...

I would have to agree. Miami had to play him because they didn't exactly have anyone better to fill his role.
