Don gone, too?

Interesting theory.

“Theory”…..yeah it ain’t theory. Anyone with half a brain can see what the Jazz are doing right now.

Lots of talk about unrealistic scenarios this summer, the most unrealistic is the Jazz pulling a DWill style trade and trading Don. That’s not happening. At this point, the best realistic thing for this franchise is for Don to demand a trade as soon as possible.

Serious damage will be done if we keep allowing Don+CAA make decisions for us.

If the Jazz hire Johnnie Bryant as the next head coach because he's buddies with Donovan (and despite having very little coaching experience), then I might believe you. The next 2 weeks or so will reveal a lot.

I think Ainge is very involved in high-level decisions now that his name is on the door. He just isn't handling the day-to-day coordination. If this turns into Danny vs. Donny, then Donovan is probably going to lose.

There is a zero percent chance Don is traded if he doesn’t demand it. Our entire plan as a franchise is to please Don. It’s been well written and reported on. It’s been backed up by the decisions we’ve made. I don’t know how more obvious it needs to be.

And in some cases that might make sense. But only with a superstar who is committed to sticking around. Donny is neither of those at this point.

From Tim MacMahon:

MacMahon also reported that the main reason Don's mentor Dwyane Wade was brought in was to make Don happy.
Jake Fischer said on a podcast that Royce was intentionally held out of trade talks before last years deadline to avoid upsetting Don.
Yeah but other than those things what have they done?

One can only hope.

I like Spida. But I’d love to unload him for a host of decent wings and draft picks. We desperately need to add athleticism and length to our roster. If we play our cards right, we still might be able to compete with Rudy for a few more years.

Why would we do that? Rudy would get us way more in a deal than Donovan would.

This is why I supported the tank… this is only a start to the BS we endure if we continue down the path. We hire Bryant and do other things to make Donovan happy it on makes Ryan dig in more and more… the mistakes will be more damaging and more long term the longer we go.

Ainge is part time and only hired because he’s friends with Smith. Ryan Smith is a loser who desperately wants to be BFFs with Don. No shot in hell Ainge is executing a plan that isn’t Ryan’s plan.

It’s not Ainge’s decision to be sold or not sold on Don. We’re not trying to win a championship. We’re trying to please a player who is gone no matter what.
It sounds like you want to join me on team tank… it will be a better kind of miserable than the Donovan and friends era.

If Ainge does believe we need to do a total rebuild… and he has the energy and stones to do it… now is the time to kinda force Dons hand. Hire the guy you want regardless of Dons input… maybe then he comes out with the trade demand and you can convince Ryan to do it.

He also may just be here to collect a few checks and avoid his wife… so he just does what Donovan and Ryan want to cruise into the horizon.
