Potential "Buy Low" Candidates

Below is a list of my "buy low" type guys for this offseason. Guys like Kuzma and Horford were last year, Wiggins the year before. Etc.

These are some trade targets, not 2022 free agents.

- Eric Gordon: he's getting old (33), but he can still play pretty well on both ends.
- Joe Harris: he's coming off surgery, but his shooting is amazing and he's a good player if he comes back 100%.
- Talen Horton-Tucker: everybody is turning their noses up on him, but he's still young and plays really hard.
- Tobias Harris: I'm not a big fan, but he's a good "buy low" candidate. Probably comes with assets.
- Kevin Love: he played in 74 games last year averaging 13.4ppg and 7.2rpg in just 22mpg. Small ball 5 option?
- LeVert: we've talked about him a bunch. He's like Clarkson, but his stock is low right now.
- Lonzo Ball: if Chicago could be worried about his health and may want to go in a different direction...
- Devonte Graham: he's not excellent, but he's a decent player on a fair deal.
- Larry Nance: I think he could be one of those useful rotation guys in a 5 out roster where everyone can switch
- Capela: he's coming off injury, but could he be a poor man's Gobert so we can get use Rudy to get value elsewhere?
- Olynyk: doesn't have great value right now but I think he could be part of a big man rotation.
- Julius Randle: the guy had a great 20-21 season. NY sucked in 21-22, but he still has talent
- Gordon Hayward: I hate the idea, but he is a good "buy low" candidate.
- Malcolm Brogdon: Indiana might be looking to go full rebuild. He fits with Don.
- Jonathan Isaac: very promising young wing who has stayed injured.

Not all of these guys above are perfect fits for us, but some could be. Most of them should be relatively cheap to get. Some may even come with an asset or two.
It's always important for small market teams to maximize assets and find value.

Devontae Graham is decent?

You mean the guy who got replaced by a 5'10 undrafted rookie?

He has one of the worst mid-priced contracts in the NBA. He's a far worse contract than even Rudy Gay.

The Pacers are reportedly open to taking on Westbrook’s contract to move Brogdon/Buddy so they can get money off their books as they look to enter a major rebuild.

Isaac hasn’t played since the bubble, has had some weird off the court stuff happen, and they’re likely drafting Jabari Smith after taking Franz Wagner in the lottery last year. Where does he fit in with their current group?

Bojan's expiring for Brogdon?

I don't know what the Isaac cost would be

Bojan's expiring for Brogdon works perfectly from a cap perspective it's just risky because he hasn't been healthy for years and you also have to move Mike Conley if you add Brogdon.

In terms of trading for Isaac, he's probably one of the most difficult players in the league to gauge in terms of his trade value.

Here are some guys that were first round or high second round picks that have done some time in the GLeague or have hit the waiver wire: Jordan Bell, Justin Jackson, Kris Dunn, Frankie Smokes, Chandler Hutchison, RHJ, Enes Freedom, Greg Monroe, Alex Len, Ty Wallace, Mudiay, Michael Beasley, Elijah Hughes, Jabari Parker and Denzel Valentine. All would be buy low at this point.

Most of those dudes are old af already
 
I would still like to get Nance Jr.

I wouldn't mind Tobias if we got a pick or two in return as he can still ball - he would be lightyears better than Royce at the 4.

A lot of the other guys on the list are still valued pretty well even if they did get injured last season (Ball and Joe Harris especially) or I wouldn't want them on our team (THT).

I thought Mudiay wasn’t terrible when he was here. Surprised he didn’t get picked up somewhere else.
 
Do what it takes to get Lonzo. He's literally the best (theoretically) gettable backcourt mate for Donovan. He's like a Rubio that can shoot.
