What's new

Burks will be Rookie of the year.

It is becoming tiresome sending you to your room 50 times a day, but really, you are the worst poster I have ever read, anywhere.

I think I actually am starting to hate you. Unbelievable. Please find another team to pretend you like.

I don't hate you however i think that you don't have any idea what basketball is all about. You should find a baseball team to pretend you like maybe you will have more accurate posts about it, but anyway you will still have to respect people who doesn't have the same opinion with you

I actually believe sepanol is a legitimate Jazz fan. I really do. AKMVP, no way.
Only problem with sepanol is his consistent need to pimp his countryman. I have no problem with the homerism or even the blind-faith, but at some point you have to shut up and wait to see how it plays out.

No one on this board will ever forget that you were first and the most obnoxious supporter of Kanter, sepanol. I suggest you lay off a bit now and let the guy prove you right. At this point you've turned more people against Kanter than for him .. because you've gone past the close.

I am not that big fan of Kanter as you may think actually, all i support is his talents. Talking about homerism, yes i love the idea that he is the highest draft pick turkish player ever but still if it is all about homerism, i would be so high on Memo too, which i am not. (Even though he is the reason i started supporting utah, i believe he is a better back up player than a starting center)

It is more blind faith to post on this site and giving lots of credit to freaking Valanciunas and hate Kanter. Those people's credibility should be questioned about being a jazz fan, not mine.

I say its a two-way tie between him and AKMVP.

It is a two-way tie between me and him being the number two maybe, because you would be the winner all the way down. I don't mention brown notes, because he is like a legend, it would be unfair ranking him in the same league as ours.

I think Kanter will be good. but the idea that you think derrick favors is going to be a bust is insane to me. i support most of your posts about Kanter, but come on... Favors showed some flashes of dominance last year

Who told that?
I never told Favors is going to be bust, i am pretty high on him unlike many basketball fans (except jazz fans) and i believe he will be very good player. But i don't see offensive potential in him as much as Kanter, that's all i say.
However, he has an amazing physical potential, it would really be a pity if he doesn't improve his offensive game and turn into Allstar player in upcoming years

Ahh, well this I sort of agree with. To my knowledge, Kanter has more offensive moves in his arsenal than Favors. However, with this said, we don't know what Favors has practised over the summer, and he has said that he can see himself being a 20/10 player this season. This season shall be an exciting one, to say the least.

How can you say that? Because you have watched a few highlight videos of Kanter on Youtube? If so, then youtube Favors and watch his highlights from Highschool against Highschool talent... he looks like the next coming of Shaq/Howard 2.0

Kanter does have more offensive moves than Favors.

His post offense and footwork is all ready quite polished. I say this based on observations of him playing in Europe this summer.

Favors is quite raw in that area still. The difference is actually quite stark.

There is a reason I preceded the post with "to my knowledge". From what we have all heard, Kanter has a sizeable offensive repertoire, with everything from shot-fakes, upend-unders, and a good mid-range jumper to boot. I am also taking into account what I saw from him during Eurobasket; though he only made on mid-range jumper (from what I remember) he had good form on all of his attempts, and he easily outmatched most of his competition when he backed them down in the post. He has a good basement to improve upon. Favors is not far behind, but if he picks up exactly where he left off last season, then he should still be considered more or less "raw".

To me, many are basing Kanters above average post work vs. no competition vs. Favors against NBA players.

I don't think anyone has seen enough of Kanter to say he has above average skills on the offensive side of the ball (Outside of maybe his outside shooting).

These are all just opinions, right? Mine is that Favors is massively more athletic/explosive than Kanter. Kanter has much more aggressiveness and, at this point, more post moves. What Kanter has on Favors, imo, is more from an aggressiveness standpoint than talent. Even when Favors was in high school, I thought the only thing that could hold him back is his being overly passive. If he truly breaks out of that, with consistency, the sky's the limit for him.

No competition? You realize he went up against Marc Gasol, Dirk, Chris Kaman, Joakim Noah, and a bunch of other seasoned European vets this past summer, right?

Consider the possibility that not everyone is as ignorant as you are.
