The Kings need more wing depth and could absorb Royce's $9.2M without sending salary back. They have the 37th/49th picks
I think we could take back #23 from Philly if we take back some salary along with it.

I think I would do it in part to see how Don reacts. If that is what pushes him to request out then he would have asked out eventually.Agreed - you don’t want to dump him for nothing and piss off Donovan. Reminds me of us trading Ronnie Brewer for draft picks and pissing off Deron.
Just proposed a deal lol.I think we could take back #23 from Philly if we take back some salary along with it.
I'd be in favor of using one of the picks/assests in the chicago deal or ours to dump Gay. two birds etc. i think he's that much dead weight.I still think it's likely that the Gobert trade involves more than 2 teams to balance things.

i could see some contender-ish team like Miami or Dallas going for it (maybe not them but as an example.)I wouldn't do it for just one of those picks, but if we could get both I would definitely consider it. I'm still hoping maybe someone will offer us a late first for Royce but I know that's likely just wishful thinking.
Sending Royce into space alone gets you the full MLE and potentially gets Ryan $50 million (fewer reasons to jettison assets). It would be a mighty quick move to swing from panic selling to building back at all.i feel like you could do better for royce, depending on who wants him. i have no problem keeping him.
The Celtics need another 3&D guy and have a trade exception that would allow them to take back Royce without sending us any salary in return.i could see some contender-ish team like Miami or Dallas going for it (maybe not them but as an example.)
They're desperate to move GreenI think we could take back #23 from Philly if we take back some salary along with it.
Waiving Hernagomez and trading Royce would bring us to almost $10M under the luxury tax before we make the 2nd round pick or sign anyone else. This type of deal could be really good. It would need to be a pick at least in the 30s. If you pull Royce's salary off the books completely and add a second rounder with their minimum it saves like $8M and allows some room to work. Sign House to a minimum and give him Royce's minutes and I'm not sure you are that much worse. Get a flier on an okay prospect.
Another deal would be Royce for Danny Green and #23. Danny likely misses the entire season next year. I think they would have to guarantee his $10M next year... but you could waive and stretch it and end up saving $4M when you account for the rookie salary.
That would be an even worse move, though, because we’re planning on a timeline that wouldn’t include Donovan but would build as if it did.Trading Rudy means they're not trying to win now, I think, but in a couple years when Mitchell hits his peak. it's a logical move imho
From the little I've seen from bulls fans, it's either/or with williams and ayo. getting williams will be tough. but who knows at this pointI think I'd be okay with Vuc, Williams, Ayo, and #18 for Rudy...
logical but not most logical, i see the sense behind it. load up a bunch of younger guys by moving rudy/bojan/conley, give them a couple years to gel, wait to sign vets, then make a run. That would be an even worse move, though, because we’re planning on a timeline that wouldn’t include Donovan but would build as if it did.
Any Rudy deal gets tricky because we'd realistically be trading away one starter for at least two so we'd have to retool the roster entirely. That would be an even worse move, though, because we’re planning on a timeline that wouldn’t include Donovan but would build as if it did.
I'd prefer Williams then for sure. A deal with them gets tricky too because Vuc is on an expiring. From the little I've seen from bulls fans, it's either/or with williams and ayo. getting williams will be tough. but who knows at this point
I don't think Vuc would be in the long term plans anyway, he's 31 and declining. But I bet that depends on the new coachI'd prefer Williams then for sure. A deal with them gets tricky too because Vuc is on an expiring.
