The Bulls are going to commit nearly $400M to Rudy Gobert and Zach LaVine in the same offseason? I just don't see it happening.

A Bulls team with Gobert, Lavine, DeRozan could beat the Heat, yes. It would be a close series. Also, Butler wouldn't be able to get to the rim.
 
This "shock value" money discussion is stupid. No way they can spend this much money on Gobert+XYZ!!!!!..... Well the other options are spending the same amount of money on players worse than Gobert + XYZ, only having XYZ and stinking, or throwing a hail marry deep into the future on someone who may or may not be as good as Gobert (but costs the same) + XYZ.

Outside of Hakeem and Shaq, how many premier centers have won a title since Kareem? And as for Shaq, it could be argued that he wasn't even the best or most important player for 2 of his 4 titles. So since the 80's, 4 titles have been won by teams with centers as their most important player, and none in the last 20 years?

This is a silly argument. It's like being in a band and being nervous because your drummer's left handed and there haven't been any people making it big with a left handed drummer in the past couple decades. This is to say nothing of plurality. A center is one position. Currently, wing can be 3 positions. There are more Subways in America than any other restaurant. That doesn't mean they're doing more business than McDonald's. What you have above is a very simplistic way of looking at this. If we were to ask "how many rings were won built around a 6'1" SGs" that list would be smaller. But would it be meaningful?

Because the entire Jazz team needs to be restructured and reset around a different timeline.
 
File this under Best Buy "sauces". I have a guy I know well who's son is a guy at the state gov that has a lot of connections. He's hung with Post Malone and the Jazz guys a bunch... they call him to get stuff done for them... anywell... its a really reliable Best Buy sauce.

Rudy called him really recently to go hang cuz he was feeling down... they went out... Doke came too. Said Rudy is pretty bummed about all the trade stuff.. the "sauce" indicated the owner wants him out. Doke also said he doesn't have a lot of friends other than Rudy on the team. Kinda sucks.

Anyway... indication that it may really happen based on how Rudy is feeling... maybe.

Any competent GM is looking at the big picture and sees Rudy is going to be 33/34 making almost $50M.
