Leaving OKC for GS paid off big time, he just shouldn't have left.
He looks hella cool. He is the best scorer on the planet. He is great at mocking people and making sure he props up toxic masculinity every chance he gets. No one can guard him. He is the best basketball player on the planet too, except when he isn't or for the 1/3 of the season he is on "rest management". Oh and he can't win for **** when he has to actually carry a team, without multiple all-stars and all-world players lifting him up.

Him leaving GS now puts him in a worse spot than him staying in OKC AND never won a ring. Now he looks like the biggest clown cuz GSW showed they can win without him and makes him look like the man between Barnes and Wiggins. So I wouldn't say him going to GSW paid off based on what happened. Had he never left GSW, then maybe. Plus who says he wouldn't have won a ring with OKC had he stayed there.
