Danny Ainge has Traded/Signed for Seven White Players

So you think it's remarkable that the Jazz signed some white players along with some black players, enough to make a thread about it. Got it. Now go have your lunchables and get back to class.
Like someone pointed out earlier, the NBA is like 20% white (and that might be overstating it), so yes, it's pretty remarkable.

I do think it is kind of a strange , and really pretty narrow minded take by the OP though, to assume it was Ainge's complete and absolute only intent to seek out marketable players for a predominantly caucasian fanbase.
The OP never made that assertion and you drawing that conclusion is just a reflection of what you actually believe, or a reflection of your insecurity that people view Utah/The Jazz that way.

That is exactly what I got from your first post in this thread. That somehow Ainge targetted White dudes to play for us because they were white. I don't see it, has nothing to do with insecurity smh

You lack self-awareness then.

(but thank you, these kind of responses are what makes these threads worth making)

No problem I just am not used to this site yet. The fact that you are just talking about race like it aint no thing, but yet started the thread like it is a thing, and expecting noone to have anything negative to say about it looks racist even if its just bait. I will spit it back out and you can fish for someone else

I have to say I do truly appreciate this forum for its diversity of thought and opinion. In a time where many of us live in increasingly politically and socially siloed spaces, it is nice for me to be in a space where I know I disagree with many of you on many, many issues and yet we can still come together to agree on how bad the Bogey trade is.

The only signing that would make this thread a serious reflection on the role of race/culture would be if we signed Jimmer, and that hasnt happened thankfully.
Rumor has it that Ryan is working on the Jimmer deal on on his own. We just need to get rid of some folks so there is room for him on the roster

Just for sake of discussion, what percentage of white Jazz players, no matter how much it made sense for best team composition, be socially unacceptable to have in the NBA for Utah? I mean, would the Jazz rolling out a team of 80% white players be addressed behind the scenes by the NBA?

If they miss the playoffs it would be suss lmao. If they made the playoffs you cant really say anything.

OP simply made a thread containing 100% factual information. Some posters chose to get triggered by it. Some posters chose to joke about it given the known stereotypes of Utah. OP laughed at those who got triggered.
The selective presentation of information argues the point in and of itself. Your denial of responsibility is not credible.

ANd yes, when I make this thread I KNOW at least one or two people will take it as an attack on white people, and that **** is ****ing hilarious to me.
Glad you can find such joy in a subject that causes others pain. I guess as long as your not in pain, you don't care.
