Walker Kessler Thoughts?

Anyone notice that whenever we draft a center they are garbage, but when the center is drafted by another team it’s gold!!
Look... Connely traded us the Rudy and Donovan picks in Denver... then he went to Minny and we got 4 firsts and Walker Kessler (as kind of a throw in I'd guess). Basically we have a dynasty coming.

Offensively, he's been way better than I thought. Defensively is a work in progress. He's got to be one of the least athletic players in the league, but as a result he's not jumpy and out of position a lot.

not a rim protector though yet. needs to get much better there. This is his shot to stick though with so few other options available. he is prob a career back up imo

He is actually a solid athlete. Not super explosive but moves his feet well and seems to have really good hands.

He is a tremendous athlete for a seven footer in a lithe, lanky rather than a linebacker way. I actually think he is a bit out of shape for an NBA player and will get better now that he is a pro and access to pro training. You can tell he is getting worn when playing big minutes and banging against NBA bodies, especially when pulling short on his free throws. The fact that he is killing it this early with those limitations is fantastic. I feel he is still underrated even on this board.
